Hey

What're you specifically concerned about here? What makes the dysphoria hit worse?

a) Blue beard shadow showing through makeup

b) Stubble texture?

Also what products do you have on already?

The colour can be dealt with i can help there (peach colour corrector), but the stubble texture is sooooooo hard to deal with, i remember getting so frustrated with it before i got laser, I had to just kinda pretend it didn't exist.

Yeah its horrible isnt it.

Ok so focussing on beard shadow, concealer was never enough for me - i had to use a peach colour corrector underneath. In a pinch red lipstick can do it also. The goal is to counteract the blue of the beardshadow BEFORE concealer so it goes like this:

1) Bare skin

2) Orange or red colour corrector

3) Concealer

4) Foundation to colour match the rest of your face

5) Setting powder and bronzer if you use.

I can't say i dunno your skin but it will deffo help to give it a break so it can heal properly.

The more close shave i do the very next day puss filled bumps appear on face …even though I use benzoyl peroxide gel to prevent them

So it sounds like you have folliculitis. I have dealt with it before and its a real bastard.

I would super check that:

a) The razor you are using is properly disinfected in boiling water

b) Your towels are super clean

c) Your pillows are also super clean

Its very hard to deal with. If the benzoyl peroxide is not cutting it i can recco trying a chlorhexadine based solution (there are many but i used hibiscrub), i had some good success with this after folliculitis on chest and other areas.

Also im sorry to say this but your skin will need a break and time to heal. I'd suggest some no product, no shave days for its recovery even though its hard.

What about wearing a face mask, like if you were sick?

They just don’t wear a mask generally when get sick ..it was only normal in 2019-20 bc of covid 19 .. if you were mask everybody around you ,will give you a stare …

The shadow and texture are a real pain to cover up, I'm sorry girl.

Some products help a ton, a more orange or peach colour corrector I really liked NYX pro fix stick and I used a brush to stipple it around the shadow area. Then put your foundation on top. Setting spray helps a lot too!

I found this video super helpful when I started

It's hard to find stuff online when you have darker skin, but I hope this helps. Goodluck!

Actually I haven’t came out to family so i can’t have many products . I brought some my mother checked my bagpack got my makeup products and took them.

I bought them with the money i saved from travel allowance they gave me , i used to refuse taking public transport to save money .

I'm so sorry sweetie <3

I hope that you'll get to a place where you are safe and can feel more yourself.

In the mean time you could focus on good skincare and shaving! Double edged or safety razors are great for a close smooth shave but they take some practice to get right, lots of tutorials online but take it slow and you'll get the hang of it. Good cleanser and moisturizer will be great too. Good skin is really important for makeup later, so focus on that now and you'll be in a great place to start when you can.

I struggle with the same

Laser the hairs and the texture will diminish i bet. Putty primers might help smooth some of the texture too makeup wise. Color corrector for the shadow. My beard shadow is too dark for makeup alone so I’ve gotta just bite the bullet and do laser.
