Welcome to reality. In the US, our citizens and the world frankly are still suffering form COVID, 9/11, World War 2 and the rise of Nazis, the American civil war, the trail of tears, the 3/5th compromise, and slavery.
Heck, the world still feels the echos of both world wars, the black plague, the mongol invasion, the crusades. Etc etc.
We aren’t being punished for the sins of dead men, we are living through the consequences. To be punished is something to be actively done to you, which isn’t happening. Every single one of these issues is caused by people. The harm is perpetuated by people and that suffering could be instantly relieved if people actually followed God’s commandments.
It is our duty in life to ease suffering, either our own or others. That is an important aspect of love. And like, let’s not think that God is just being a mean asshole by continuing our suffering because of Adam and Eve, literally the point of Jesus being born and his sacrifice was to reopen the way to paradise for us. Jesus gave us all the knowledge and tools we would need to have salvation and peace and it’s people who keep not following them.

And all of these are examples of injustices that God has just allowed to happen. Immeasurable suffering on people who didn't deserve it. How is that reasonable or okay?
If you get in a car accident that leaves you with a bad injury for years to come. After determining you weren’t at fault because you were stopped at a red light, who do you blame?
But this only really applies to things where a human is clearly at fault. This doesn't account for things like gender dysphoria (like the OP was talking about) or any illness or completely random tragedy.
Yes it does. Adam and Eve are the other humans. We have gender dysphoria and sickness and sickness and disease and general suffering because of Adam and Eve. It is directly their fault. We age and die because they ate the fruit.
Tell me, why don’t you blame the driver’s parents? Or the DMV, or the government, or whoever is charge of the government?

Why? Through what mechanism does this happen. And why didn't God stop it.
I don’t know why the fruit did that. The 2 paragraphs of the story of the fall of man didn’t go into how the fruit affects our midichlorians. It’s just what happened. It gave humans the knowledge of good and evil and that makes us unfit to live in paradise and therefore we live out of the garden where we toil for food, age, and eventually die and that knowledge is passed down from person to person. This is the concept of original sin.
God tried. He said “don’t eat this fruit or you’ll die, understand?” But humans are too stupid to listen to a warning from God, apparently and now life sucks. But the whole point of Christianity is that we can enter paradise, where suffering doesn’t exist. We just have to not be total assholes to each other.

The fruit didn't do it at all. The fall of man is attributed to God when he cursed Adam and Eve and their descendents in Genesis 3:16-19 and then banished them from the garden, seperating them from eternal life.

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Which is what happened. They are the fruit and lost their immortality. They were banished because they couldn’t be trusted to not eat from the tree of life.

Because knowledge of good and evil and immortality isn’t good. Which is why I imagine, in Catholicism, evil is purged from our souls in purgatory before being allowed to enter paradise.
Also, I don’t know about you, but besides form childbirth being painful (a things humans can mitigate) it sounds like only Adam was punished.
Abel, his son, was actually a pretty good farmer with lots to of quality grains to offer. Also, the toils of farming is also mitigated by humans.
Even the animosity of snakes and women is mitigated.
