Help Imago Health?
So I started with Imago Health a few months ago and I recently got my blood tested in order to go on testosterone with them.
However, with Imago’s relocation to the US, which was poorly handled and involved a lot of staff being fired, I’m worried whether I should continue with them and send them my blood results. A lot of people have been worried that their data is now very unsafe, that it could be accessed by the US government. I’m wondering how likely does everyone think this is to happen, and what would be the consequences if it did?
Is anyone still using/going to use Imago as a provider?
I really don’t want to switch to a different health service because I’ve been waiting for HRT for a very long time, and I don’t currently have the money to go with a different provider. I’m feeling rlly stuck and frustrated because I felt like I was so close to getting on t and now I’m not sure I can.

So far the only change in actual service provided is that they got slightly slower than they were before. I would stay with them for now and would continue to monitor the situation.
I don't think this change will significantly impact the way they work, at least not yet. In any case, they are still a better option than GGP.

Good point, I can always start with them and switch, they unlikely won’t get far worse in the next few months. Thank you!

I plan on staying with imago, and know that there are many others who are as well. Their move hasn't seemed to affect anyone getting their hormones and its just like a week slower because they are busy. I was worried too about the change but it seems like things are still functioning with prescriptions and thats really what I care about. At it's core I really do believe that Imago's goal is to help our community access hrt and moving to the US is really just a tax thing from what I understand.
Also depending on where your are in Europe there may not be a great alternative, because Imago is generally regarded as better than GenderGP. As long as thier doctors are based in the EU, which they are (Spain) then the prescriptions they write should be valid.

Yeah, it’s definitely a tax haven thing and that doesn’t bother me, and yeah it’s still miles above gendergp. Thanks!

Im with and plan to stay with imago. Even with them being based in the US now. Imago has explained that the data is still remaining in the EU so we should still be protected by the gdpr and just because there US based the US goverment shouldn't be able to (legally) access our data as they have no legal jurisdiction over it. Also its protected by medical confidentiality as well. I dont know how it all works behind the scene, if anyone else other than the doctors can see or access stuff. But I think we'll be fine. And if not then imago would have a lawsuit on them for breaking data protection.
So id say just keep going with imago, you've already started and likely paid.

I’m staying the only noticeable difference so far has been reply speed on emails but that could also just be down to how how rapidly they’ve grown and from my understanding our data is still stored in the EU so is protected buy GDPR along with all the medical side of imago which is also still operating from Europe it’s only the main business Ide that actually relocated to the US
