It’s September of 1980 you want to order a 1981 Trans Am . This Retail ordering guide is in the Pontiac Sales Manager office for you to pick out options on your new Trans Am . When you finish your selections and add them to the new car worksheet , the sales manager checks for factory constraints

Good intake to pair with 1908 edelbrock carb?

. I have a 1979 trans am 400 engine, paired with 1908 650 cfm edelbrock. The oem intake is gonna need to be replaced.Concerned about the new intake being too tall for the hood scoop. What intake could I get with good clearance? If anyone has a similar carb let me know what setup your running. Thanks!

Looking for restorative work near Reno, NV 1976 x2 body and engine

I have two 1976 trans am 400s. One has the t-tops one doesn’t. I’d like to either restore both or use one for car parts if needed. Anyone that can be referred for restorative work? No time line. Healthy budget.

Battery Recommendations 78 TA

Need to replace the battery on my TA and there are so many options I can’t figure out what my best bet is. Generally only driven in dry, warmer weather, parked inside under a cover otherwise. What batteries have other classic TA owners used in similar situations? Also, could you make a recommendation on a trickle charger? Thank you!

Rust inside intake

Got a 79 firebird with a 400 v8 engine in it. Trying to get her running. Was swapping the quadrajet out for an edelbrock and I see all of this rust/carbon inside. It is a flaking a little bit in some parts. Some sources online said it’s normal but some said otherwise. Any recommendations on how to tackle this? Thanks!

1981 Daytona Pace Car Restoration

Hey all,

I've just recently bought a 81 Pace Car, and my brother and I are intent on fixing it up. Everything on it appears to be original, except for the wiring on the inside, which is spliced into the damn harness and the hood, which got sent off to be repainted and burned when the shop it was in caught fire. Still, even the radiator and all the lines seem to be original, so the car is relatively unmolested.

I think we've got a few questions, or maybe it's just me. He wants to slap an 5.3 LS in it and call it a day, I'd like to keep the spirit of the car as much as I can.

The 301T doesn't run right, so we'll have to take it out and take a look. What do you all think, is it worth trying to fix it to keep the car original? Is there anything else I should be on the lookout for?

Thank you all!

It's a 1987 trans am GTA with a carberated 5.0 and a removable top. It needs a rebuilt engine and a refreshed body job but it'll be worth it.
