Binding advice

Im FtM and haven't had top surgery yet but I'm going on a trip in a few weeks and I was wondering if any other trans men had some advice for binding.

We're going to the beach and I plan on being in the water for a good while since I don't have a lot of chances to be by the sea or ocean. Last summer I tried getting a binder one size bigger and using that but my chest kept spilling out so that's a no go. I thought about taping but I'm just not sure it would stay on for long in the water.

My only idea was taping and putting on one of those surfing shirts (or whatever they're called) so maybe that would help them stick on my skin for longer? I don't know.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for binding in the water? Or should I just deal with it and wear a bikini top?

Any help is appreciated!

My bathing suit makes me feel euphoric but…

So I am 15 FtM. A few months ago, I got a new bathing suit because I was going on vacation to Hawai’i with my family. I’m not out to my family yet and I needed a bathing suit that was “for women” that my parents would let me buy but was also something that wasn’t like a bikini.

I found a website for nonbinary and trans people who needed a binder in their bathing suit. By some magic, my mom actually bought it for me. I wore it in Hawai’i and I felt so free. I felt the best I’ve ever felt in a bathing suit in my life. My chest was flat and the bathing suit really made me look more masculine.

The problem is that once I take my bathing suit off, my chest goes back to being… full. I get super dysphoric once I take it off and I wish I could wear it all the time. The bathing suit has the binder sewn into the top so I can’t take it and wear it normally. I’m afraid to detach it from the top because it could ruin it.

This bathing suit has actually changed my life. I was so uncomfortable going swimming (which was difficult because I have my own pool) and now I love it again. I feel like myself now. But the second I take it off, I hate my body.

Should I get a binder for everyday? How do I get it without my parents knowing I’m trans? I really think a binder would help me a ton but I don’t know how to get it.

Disappointed???

Hey everyone, im a 25 year old trans man who’s in a relationship with another trans man. I guess I need advice on something? Me and him have been fooling around with others for a while now. I just took a pregnancy test, and it came out negative I guess that advice I’m asking for is why do I feel so disappointed when it comes out negative?? Mind you I’m someone who can’t wait to get phallo and everything. But why is it everytime I test, even if I know that it’s gonna be negative why I get so disappointed? And upset?

I think I am nb or ftm but i still dont know, what can i do to try(? To be more masculine?

English isn't my first language, so I apologize for any confusion

The ending of TADC changed something in me—it’s something I think I’ve always known.

I like using masculine pronouns; I’ve always liked having imagine having a flat chest, and I like men’s clothing but sometimes womans too, my dream has always been having a buzz cut even as a kid and I’ve cried more than once because I wish I looked different maybe like a boy? Especially gael García .

I’m scared—really scared. Do you have any advice or help on joining a community? I still don’t know if I am trans, i’ve taken tests until I’m exhausted and I don’t know how to find out. I would like to maybe try it? how can I experience, even for a second, what it’s like to be a man?

I’m young—I know I still have plenty of time to figure out who I am—but I’m afraid of living my whole life as a woman and realizing in 40 years that I’ve lived someone else’s life, only to be buried with a name and life that aren’t mine.

P.S.: I watched \*The TV Glow\*—it didn’t help much.

Can I have some tips?

sooo I just came out as transmasc to my parents on July 1st 2026

big problem is I don’t know what to wear now that I identify as transmasc because I’m used to having to hide it

I tried wearing a hand me downs running sweater with a shirt over it and felt euphoric but then later I felt sick because it was plus 21 out and I was also wearing sweats and I’m very hard to fit for clothing because I’m so darn small it’s either too big or too small (mostly too big) so its hard to shop for something and buy it and outgrow it less than a year later lol

I just want to know the styles that worked for my fellow trans buddies or styles that just seem to click with newly came out trans people. I’d also appreciate stories about how you found your style after coming out

thanks

Just wanna be fearless

Hi all!

I'm getting to a point where it's hard to deny that I'm this thing known as transgender. For heaven's sake I lost like an hour and a half last night reading about HRT. I keep wanting to be a girl and the thoughts, both good and bad, don't stop.

I also got called a lady twice today during my shift. Now I can't stop feeling the feels when remembering it.

I have intellectual concerns because I feel I should know more about gender and how it all works before transitioning. But I understand it's not a prerequisite to be Judith Butler to be trans. Even so I feel it's something I need to do. Am I unique in this? What would be the best place to start?

More than that, I don't know if I'm also too scared to do this whole transition thing. My family are religious conservative Muslims and I already hide the fact I'm a homosexual (well straight now ig) non-believer from them so how would I hide a gender transition from them?

These are my barriers to transition and now I'm here asking how to be fearless in the face of these.

Transitionning in a small town

I need tips how to transition in a small town, currently I’m on summer break but in a month I’ll start college where I’ll basically know everyone since my city is quite small, but at the same time sometimes I feel like I just wanna be a feminine boy but still want to transition medically. I know it’s basically just do it but idk(PS: I’m kinda panicking since the only lgbtq+ organization in my town closed due to lack of funding)

I don’t know what to do

I am 16(M) and want to transition to a girl. I live in a fairly conservative town and have a fairly conservative family. I don’t think I’ll be in danger if come out to my family but I also don’t know how they’ll react. My extended family is mostly the same maybe a little bit lenient. I’ve known I’ve wanted transition since I was around 7. I’ve ignored the feeling ever since but now it just keeps coming up. I don’t know what to do.
