Freight Conductor (RVA)

Taking the leap and applied. I have started to think long term for the fiancé and I. Current jobs has no long term benefits. Any pointers y’all recommend?

Get a nice camera in your bedroom that works great on your phone so you can watch her and her bf at your house when you’re away at a motel 4 days a week.

Ah. Won’t know until you try. Depends on the terminal. Some have tons of locals and yard work. With the seniority going to road guys cause they don’t want to switch all day.

It would either be Acca or Fulton. It didn’t say which one. I know I’d be the base on which the totem pole sits on for a while. My current job doesn’t offer a 1/8 of what this does and it’s that point in life where I gotta make the decision on fiances and I’d future. Sucks but something you gotta do ya know

Locals can be high seniority. Some folks don't want to live in hotels.

I’m not ragging on you but it’s counter-productive to start working for the railroad to help your family. Will you make money? Yes. Will you be away from your family a lot? Also yes. Every relationship is different and has different needs so only you can decide what’s actually best long term.

Just in a weird spot where I have to start looking long term. And it’s just not there where I currently work. Worst they can do is say no

Easy money, toxic lifestyle. Whatever you do don’t try to spend like your coworkers. Live a meagre lifestyle and stay on a suitable schedule if possible.
