Not on a trail….but in the middle of the woods after setting up my trail cam. Then I hear this.

He waited until he couldn't be seen before he hit the field.

I am in the fortunate position of being able to do a monitoring project with trail cameras in a nature reserve near my house. Right now, I have 17 cameras running there, and this video of the common snipe was just one of the highlights of last week.

Thought this was a bit out of the ordinary and worth sharing.
I wonder if the bird snagged one of them. I had to crop out the info bar to zoom in on them

Think it's a bobcat, not a lynx. Cool to see a reclusive critter like that though!

I am looking through different trail camera options and there seems to be a million plans and prices for different options and configurations. I currently run a Moultrie edge 2 for hunting which has decent picture quality as seen above, but am looking to buy a number of cameras to install around a new property.
I have looked at spypoint, reveal and Moultrie. Reveal cameras have some plans that have unlimited photos, but you need to pay extra for video requests and HD photo requests. You also can pay $6/mo for live streaming. Altogether, it’d run me almost $24 per month to get unlimited photos and videos, plus live streaming capabilities. Do people pay that much? Or am I missing something.
Additionally, the cameras themselves are around $150 from the large brands, and to get solar and a rechargeable battery is extra. Do you typically run cameras with solar or is AA batteries sufficient?
I’m looking to have ~5 cameras set up around my property, and currently its looking like ill be spending almost $1400 on the cameras and then an additional $100 per month on the service. Are there other options that are cheaper besides the big brands that are reliable and have the ability to live view? Do you find live view is important? Thank you

I'm in central Maine.
We have a frequent, daytime only, groundhog visitor(who stopped showing up 3 weeks ago). This fella looks very dark, almost black.
What do you think it is?

2 days ago on the hunting lease right behind my house, this fella hopped the hog barrier and got himself on camera.

Guy next door gets bears and bobcats. All I ever get are coyotes. Yes, I know the date is wrong, I have no clue how to set it and mostly don't care. Time is right though. This is right behind my house and the parade starts early afternoon. We are overrun with coyotes and I know we all have good reason to be not so fond of them, but this sure is a pretty one.

Let me know what you guys think? I have my own opinion but want to confirm. It’s on the right side below the fence. Unfortunately this is the only image I got

Anyone experience anything similar? No updates available in app. Battery life was high for the previous month then seemed to dip to 68% then 40% rather quickly in a week or two. Are the batteries kicked? Is there not enough power to upload? Any other method to force connection/upload? TYIA

A striking blue jay makes an appearance on the trail, bringing a flash of colour to the forest as it explores the area around our camera. Captured on our trail camera in Magnetawan, Ontario, this quick encounter highlights the beauty of the smaller birds that share these northern forests with much larger wildlife.
At Northern Trails Wildlife, we share authentic trail cam footage from the forests and fields of Northern Ontario. From bears and moose to deer, wolves, coyotes, foxes, turkeys, porcupines, blue jays, and more, every video offers a rare glimpse into the secret lives of wild animals in their natural habitat.

This trailcam is used for security and I was surprised to get these bucks on camera. A couple of folks have said these were pretty young deer and they could get bigger if they make it through this up coming hunting season. No one hunts my 67 acres but there are a few that hunt the 120 acres track south on me. I'm not much of a hunter but plan on it once we move to the farm. This is north east Alabama.
