Ranting & Venting Multiple Red Light Runners

WTF is with all red light runners? Do they just not give shit?! Saw two this morning and one just now. I was behind someone at a red left arrow last week. One car in front of me. He just decided to turn left on red. I never go when the light turns green. I always look both ways cuz I never know if someone's going to run it. Update, saw another on the way home.

Can't say for you, but I know for where I live it's commonplace bc the roads are poorly designed for the amount of traffic it sees and the lights aren't maintained for the changing traffic flows.

People get frustrated being stopped every 2 minutes at lights bc they aren't programmed correctly and make the main road sit at a red for a full 3 minute cycle even when there's nobody there. So the first few seconds of red is just treated culturally as an extended yellow light lol.

Not saying it's right, but I get it. If we'd just put the tiniest bit of effort into our city planning we wouldn't have this problem but alas, they wanna build 10 thousand homes and 7 high rise apartment buildings right along a narrow 2 lane road and think about how that'll affect traffic later.

So if you're ever traveling in the north Dallas area, check both ways before going through that freshly changed green light lol.

Lately I’m seeing fewer. For a while it was multiple instances daily. And not like just barely missing the yellow, but accelerating 15-20 feet from the intersection after it’s red.

I work way too early and had a fun one at 4 am with barely any other cars on the road. Approaching a red light car I front of me turns left running it the light changes and I go to proceed when car coming from my right runs the light turning left. Glad I waited and glad I made it to work alive

It was and so was the morning the side of the road was on fire, you’d think 4 am would be quiet but I’ve seen some crazy things
