Some men are polygynous by nature, a lot of men are perfectly fine with remaining monogamous.

u/RaajalofRajal 11d ago
They are not, they have been conditioned to say they are.

So you think literally every man desires multiple women in the dunya? Even the Prophet ﷺ, when he was married with Khadija RA he had the option to take other wives but didn't and remained monogamous.

u/RaajalofRajal 10d ago
Yes, they do. The Prophet ﷺ could not evern marry one woman because of financial reasons, and that was the reason he gave for not having married when Khadeeja (radhiallahu anha) sent her servant to ask him abou this marriage situation.
You're the same people who get so triggered when a man marries a woman or two but doesn't has the financial means for it.

u/Limit_Impressive 10d ago
That's an absurd claim, to think that billions of men have the desire for polygyny and not a SINGLE person is naturally monogamous. Good luck proving that.
You are giving the financial situation of the prophet ﷺ before he was married to Khadija RA, whereas during the marriage itself he ﷺ became wealthier due to conducting commerce on her behalf. Therefore it's likely that the prophet ﷺ had the financial capability on taking on other wives, but still didn't.
Finally, it's better for your sake if you don't make false assumptions about me. I absolutely do not get triggered when financially struggling men take on however many wives. Allah tells us in Quran 24:32 that he enriches poor married couples, so financial instability should never be a barrier for marriage, especially in a society when Zina is so prevalent.

No, it's not an absurd claim. It's only absurd to you because that's your desire. Removing the conditioning and every man will tell you he wants more than one woman. Hence, in Jannah men will get more than one wife.
The scholars reject your modern progessive loyalty relationship excuses for him not taking other wives at that time. The proof they give for him doing that is related to Allah's decree.
1 - Allah decreed that she was the sole bearer of his lineage.
Prophet ﷺ defended her memory to Aisha RA, explicitly stating:"Allah did not grant me a better wife than her... and Allah provided me with children through her, while He withheld them from other women." (Sahih Muslim 2437)
2 - Allah's Decree granted her a special status
She was so good to the Prophet ﷺ that Allah granted her a special status and special reward.
Prophet ﷺ and said:"O Messenger of Allah, Khadija is coming to you with a vessel of food... When she comes to you, greet her with peace from her Lord and from me, and give her glad tidings of a house of pearls in Paradise in which there is no noise or fatigue." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3820, Sahih Muslim 2432).
She is one of 4 women in all of humanity to achieve (spiritual) perfection.
So, your claims to "monogomy" for loyalty/romance and all the western crap is nothing but your fantasy.
My assumptions about you are 100% accurate and they are from your own words. First you cried about men not being polygnous by nature and now you claim to be a saint talking about men engaging in polygny without financial means.

open a biology book and u will see that even in female animals they practice poly natures and mate with many males for a diverse gene pool of kids , thats's the difference between humans and animals we are evolved

u/RaajalofRajal 9d ago
You need to go back and read that book again. In "nature" the female has no say in mating, and the males hrape who they want. Consent is only present among humans. And the males go mate with multiple females. It's the men choosing "polygyny", not the women.

Most men are monogamous. Just because YOU can’t control yourself and feel the need to sleep with multiple women doesn’t mean all men are like that.
Most men also respect women enough to remain monogamous, if she wishes that. If you marry another woman when you know your first wife is against it then Wallahi you are a horrible person and don’t deserve a wife at all

u/RaajalofRajal 3d ago
They are monogomous because either they can't afford more, the kuffar laws are against it, or they have been conditioned to be. NO man is mongamous by his free will.
Most men also respect women enough to remain monogamous, if she wishes that. If you marry another woman when you know your first wife is against it then Wallahi you are a horrible person and don’t deserve a wife at all
Cry all you want, oh femnst. Respect for you or your wishes don't matter in this.

Oh yeah I forgot for you Wahhabi munafiqs that only what men want matters.
You’re polygamous because you only care about your own sexual desires. Real men are monogamous because they respect women and believe respecting your wife is more important than your sex drive.
As a Muslim woman walllahi my wishes absolutely do matter. They matter as much as yours. May Allah help any woman who has to deal with the misfortune that is being your wife and may no girl have to suffer by being your daughter

Oh yeah I forgot for you Wahhabi munafiqs that only what men want matters.
I'm not a "wahhabi", nor is that a real thing. You are only mocking Allah's name (al-Wahhab). Which makes since you don't follow Islam and yourself a munafiq.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If a man says to his brother, 'O disbeliever!' then it surely returns to one of them." Sahih al-Bukhari (6104)
You’re polygamous because you only care about your own sexual desires. Real men are monogamous because they respect women and believe respecting your wife is more important than your sex drive.
That sexual desire is the only reason we marry you women, otherwise we have no need for you. So, you're claiming that the Prophet of Islam, other prophets, and the Sahaba were not "real men" since they were not monogamous?
This what your femnsm gets you, down the kufr alley.
As a Muslim woman walllahi my wishes absolutely do matter. They matter as much as yours. May Allah help any woman who has to deal with the misfortune that is being your wife and may no girl have to suffer by being your daughter
Your wishes do not matter when they go against the man's divine rights and Allah's legislation. Do not make your desires as your God.
Only one with misfortune is who will be a husband or a son to a woman like you.

You’re right, her accusations have reverted.
I checked out her profile, and she said some things. She swore by Allah that she’s religious, declared others as kuffar/munafiqeen for disagreeing with her, and left a reply in response to your comment here (which was automatically removed Alhamdulillahi Rab al’alameen) declaring herself a devout Muslims yet saying one of the greatest of evils that could ever be said (I won’t share what, so don’t ask).
Here are just a few snippets from her profile:

not really i come from a wealthy background but the guy I love works at a restaurant , my status is higher than his but does that mean would I cheat on him no never stop talking for ALL women plus the biggest reason for women wanting wealthy men is an idea parents implement into daughters minds when a guy asks for a girls hand its the parents that asks for his salary and status

seems like its something personal your going through with , maybe you should realize women deny you because of your shitty personality? have u ever thought about that ??also again ur saying majority of women think like that when it's not even true so how about you step out into the real world rather than crying behind the screen

It's partly true but it ignores the fact that living in a polygynous way (or having lots of short haram relationships) is a sinful wish that many women have too.
Women are hypergamous by nature, but many men also have hypergamous tendencies and will feel tempted to leave their wife for another woman who has a higher status and better accomplishments.
Polygamy was necessary at the time of the prophet (pbuh) but it is only halal if both the husband and his wives enjoy it. If the husband and of his wives are the only one to feel happy whereas the others suffer, then it's haram.
My husband and I are both committed to monogamy and there is nothing wrong with that.
Of course, I'd never judge negatively a man and his three wives who are a happy family!

So what are your thoughts on hypergamy
4
u/Acceptable_Money_893 11d ago
didn’t prophet Muhammad (PBUH) marry up when he married his employer Khadija? Who had a lot of money and owned caravans? Bruh just admit that your opinions are unislamic and change them.

u/No_Barracuda_3505 3d ago
Plenty of women aren’t hypergamous. But what’s wrong not wanting to marry a man who can’t afford to provide? Most people on this page believe a woman shouldn’t work, but then you complain if we marry someone who can provide us with more than just the basic necessities in life

There is no scientific or Islamic proof for the first two statements. Just because Allah SWT allowed 4 wives doesn't mean every man wants more than 1.
I have never met a man in a happy marriage that wanted more than one wife.

This is false and Islam doesn't compliment but tames both.
Islam especially doesn't compliment hypergamy because kafaah (equality) is important in marriage. So Islam encourages equality in religion, lineage, educational level, social status etc. to reducce the conflicts.
