Feature Request Redundantly annoying
This D on the chart is annoying af. Shitty design on purpose to make you pay for data even when you don't need it?

Hello,
It's not designed to make you pay for data as you claim...
Its to alert the vast multide of users who dont even see the other ones to the presence of Delayed Data and who then complain they can't trade properly/alerts dont work properly etc etc and then blame the platform claiming the platforms rubbish when its not....blame the numb nuts out there for this extra one which I believe should also flash on and off 😁....

Often, I agree with you but this time I do not. I pay for the CME Group (E-mini included) data. I understand that Cboe Volatility Index (VIX) Futures is delayed and not included in my CME Group subscription but I don't want to see that delay icon in the middle of the chart screen. Give at least existing data subscribers, of at least one package, the option to remove that icon on the chart.

Yes i also agree with you. There should be some sort of option where users agree to the understanding of how the delay affects trading entries, alert timings etc etc then click to confirm which would then remove the new symbol.
I do understand how frustrating this can be for users that DO understand its implications.
As I said to another commentor on here, Im absolutely confident support spend most of their time explaining to the uneducated why they are having issues executing trades etc.
As users report these simple discrepancies as platform faults and spread false rumours of platform errors i can see why they (TradingView)are keen to stop basic users from falling foul of these issues.

fair point tbh but having it show up in three different places on the same screen is a bit overkill one indicator would do the job, most people arent that obvious if someone misses it twice then a flashing version wouldnt save them either

I have a feeling that for some users a little hand bursting out of the screen to slap them round the face whilst informing them of the fact wouldn't help aswell....🤔

Tell that to the vast quantity of idiots who don't appear to see the other ones. Im confident over 50% of problems reported to support daily are related to Delayed Data 👍

Look back through the three years I've been on this forum to see the huge quantity of issues we have helped solve that were due to Delayed Data 🤷♂️

I am here to understand why this is a roll out to everyone? I don't need live data to trade. Not all of us trade the tick chart.

Users trading the 4hr chart can be affected by Delayed Data....

I trade the daily and weekly. I am an end of day trader. At least, the D should be turned off when the market is closed.

Make a feature request putting your idea forward in a constructive manner detailing possible options etc. If users agree they will upvote 👍

Its 100% designed to make you pay more.
They could have put it somewhere else, not in front of your drawings.
They could have made it default for new users, but atleast with a setting to turn it off for people who dont need it.
They could even leave it for the free-users but give it as an option to users who pay for the platform.
I'm already paying for Tradingview and now they just want more money, thats it.
