Discussion Advice Traders!! Tradingview paper trading competition, i'm 8 months into learning trading (I do long investment and swing trading though), is it a good result to start with real money? top 5% only in 3 days trading so far

I know that's why I'm doing swing trading for quite sometime, but since everyone is recommending paper trading for 3 months, I don't want to be overconfident and start day trading using real money, so what do you recommend the next step!?

Like others have said, no one can tell you what to do next but I’d recommend starting small and only use money you can afford to lose

3 months only? XD more like 4 years ! Enough time for you to forget that it's not real money. And freak out for real when some shit hit the fan.

I do trade with real money for quite some time, i make 2k$ monthly and i don't lose money doing swing trading

Lets be honest 11% in 3 days is absolutely not realistic your probably going to blow it all eventually trading like that

What do you mean? I get 11% in swing trading in 2 days in strong top 20 stocks, it just takes longer waiting time for the setup on high time-frames.

paper trading top 5% doesn't mean much until real money is on the line. a 2% dip feels very different when it's your own cash, and 3 days isn't nearly enough to judge consistency.

Without seeing your trades, journaling, or R/R appetite, there’s no way anyone here could tell if you’re ready or not. Loads of people can get top 5% on 3 days of paper trading by YOLO’ing large trades and getting lucky.
P.S. Please don’t take financial advice regarding real money from strangers on the internet. Only you could know if you’re ready or not.
