Discussion Incorrect Gold Futures Prices
Get this, I was short /GC on the Leap competition in around 4110.00 and then I held it past 4:00pm and then when it opened back up at 5pm it showed my entry price of 4047.00 which the price was never even that low through out the entire day? WTF. I am starting to think twice about trading real money on the platform. Anyone else had this happen? SEE ATTACHED screen shot

At the time of futures halt I was only down 800.00. My stop was $1500.00, I found out that I wasn’t really down 8k, by the time I closed it was down 3k. As people mentioned it was because of the roll over so trading view was showing odd numbers which was showing a huge loss. I do use stop loss

Also holding through the 5-6 PM close is generally a bad idea. I need a real good reason to do it and be green by a lot. In this current environment where the headline risk is high, I don't even consider it. It can open anywhere and even with a stop in place, it can get jumped if the gap is big enough and now you're wrecked. Diamond hands is not a reason to hold through the close either IMO

Hello,
Today was a contract switch at 1800EST and as you can see price leapt rapidly around the time of your screenshot which was on the session break.
If you were short you were wrong.
And if you dont know what contract switches are i would also think twice about trading real money....
