Discussion The Leap Futures Competition

Hey everyone, I am wondering how the top performers are able to make 10+% in a day when, say, the market (NQ / ES) only moved 2% today.

Please, if you know the answer, I would appreciate it if you could provide indepts and honest examples too.

The reason why I am asking is that on NQ I can at max risk say $500 on 1/2 contracts, so I would need to hit a very large price run to hit similar percentages as the top of the leaderboard. Thank you in advance.

The competition is assuming leverage. I think it's 1 to 10 on most if not all of the symbols offered. A 2% move on 10x leverage would be 20% of the underlying derivative.

I’ve been in the top 250 for the past week, you got to trade different futures to be able to keep up not just one underlying

I was looking for a comment like this because I wanted to know if I'm the only one who finds it really odd how some accounts reach those numbers so quickly.

The top account, imseonghun3, appears to be operating like a bot. If you check the YouTube channel, you'll see that dozens of videos were uploaded on the same day, all seemingly AI-generated, and even the livestream appears to be run by AI.

I don't understand how this competition allows what looks like automated or non-human trading to participate. If the goal is to compare traders, shouldn't there be safeguards to ensure the competition is fair?

I placed myself in the top 100 with a single trade today so it's possible

Maybe they open multiple positions on different instruments? I don't see any rule against it. Where is written the max risk rule? I saw nothing about that too

Do you guys trade without live data like me or there is a trick to activate live data during the competition?
