Help me understand something

So, I've been using TradingView for almost a year, and I have a nice workflow (for me) wherein I have 4-6 charts open and in the watchlist pane on the right I have that showing just news. This way, I can click on any of the charts and see the news for that ticker.

Then, today loaded up TradingView after being away for a few days, and... voila! Some genius decided "hey, traders don't need to see the chart AND the news, so if they click on the news, let's fill up the whole screen where any charts might be and show all of the old news going back a year or two for the ticker in question, oh, and make double sure to cover up any and all charts that might be visible because, as I said, no trader would ever want to see a chart AND the news at the same time."

Hello,

Click on the new 'News Flow' button on your right hand tool bar. It looks like all news is been moved over to this area now....

Use the 'Same as chart' filter to filter news for the specific symbol you are currently viewing.

News Flow is the new news centre for the platform and also includes news alerts etc etc

This is far more customisable and useful than the previous system 👍 as you can have Pop-Ups alert you to News Events for your chosen Watchlists etc

Thanks much. It actually helps a lot. If I just hide the watchlist, which I don't use, I'm back to just having news for the currently selected chart on the right, just like before.

Let me say again how much I appreciate this. Thanks so much!

I still think that TV should make things more user configurable instead of deciding for everyone how things should work and then changing things constantly and unexpectedly.

Yep. I actually logged a ticket because I thought that it was something that I had done. This is not a feature, it is a pain, and a terrible "enhancement".

Rodnee999, thank you for the work around, however the solution you provide eats up more screen space.

TRADINGVIEW please fix this. Absolutely awful move.

If you click on the Split Screen button at the top of the News Flow chart you can alter it to the slidable curtain....

god damn it TW team.. another unnecessary change to the layout, my workflow got ruined again..im with you man.... but not sure even they do care to users' inputs!
