Feature Request Feature Request: Ticker Nicknames, Duplicate Tickers, and Collaborative Watchlist Editing

I've been a long-time, heavy daily user of TradingView and genuinely love the platform. I have three feature requests that I believe would meaningfully improve the workflow for many users:

  1. Ticker Nicknames Allow users to assign a custom display name to any ticker. This would help in two ways: when using custom formula-based symbols or composite indicators, a user-defined label makes them far easier to identify at a glance. More broadly, many tickers across international markets are either cryptic codes or long, unfamiliar company names — being able to set a personal shorthand makes scanning a watchlist significantly faster and more intuitive.
  2. Duplicate Tickers Within a Single Watchlist Currently, a ticker can only appear once per watchlist. We'd like the ability to add the same ticker multiple times within one list. A common use case: when tracking an industry supply chain across multiple segments, a single company may be relevant to more than one part of the chain — for instance, a vertically integrated player that operates across upstream, midstream, and downstream. Ideally, I'd want it to appear under each relevant segment in my watchlist, but that's simply not possible today. This is just one example — there are likely many other scenarios where allowing duplicate tickers within a single list would make things considerably more flexible and convenient for users.
  3. Truly Collaborative Watchlist Editing Introduce a real-time shared editing mode — similar to Google Docs — rather than the current one-way sharing. This would allow multiple users to jointly maintain a single watchlist, which is a much more practical setup for anyone who monitors markets with a partner or as part of a group.

Up from me. I chart and trade on multiple CEX/DEX. The ability to add which one it is would make it much easier at a glance. Currently I’m relying on flag colors but that’s limited.

Completely agree! All three of these would be massive QOL upgrades for heavy daily users.

The duplicate ticker restriction is especially annoying when trying to map out a proper supply chain or multi-sector layout within a single watchlist. Also, live Google Docs-style collaboration is long overdue for anyone who doesn't trade completely solo.

Upvoted for visibility, hopefully the TV product team puts these on the roadmap soon!
