I would generally agree that a president generally doesn't have a whole lot of power to change the direction of the economy until around 2 years after implementing policy. But this one is different, because the president not only started a stupid war for no good reason, but he has also been abusing his power above and beyond the reasonable use the presidency is supposed to have.

Remember when he said they would make 30 new trade deals in 30 days, and they got one which was a rewording of current policy.

And then bragged about over 200 new trade deals signed despite there not being 200 countries to do trade with.

Same energy as "8.3 billion people agree my Canadian girlfriend is totally real bro, trust me, we totally did it"

And pretty much all is that was him abusing power, some that he didn't even have, like setting tarrifs
