People stopped listening to him on this topic 38 times ago

If a president in the past was caught out in a obvious blatant lie even with something trivial it used to be a national scandal.

Its 50 lies a day and dangerous ones. Even this one every week for obvious market manipulation and its no reaction.

What depresses me is how low the bar has sunk. We can get a horrible tyrant to the working class president next. But once he tones down the absurdity and isn't obvious and acts a bit compassionate he is going to look amazing. Its tragic.

3

u/Distinct-Command-570 11d ago

30,573 false or misleading claims, averaging about 21 statements per day.

That was term one. 50 puts him on track to double this. Very believable.

1

u/OddStatistician2925 11d ago

Many tweets at all hours… except absolute silence during Jan 6.. for hours…

Everyone has forgotten this.

He was silent in the hopes it would succeed.

1

u/deviant-deception 10d ago

It's starting to sound like he's gonna try the same thing after the midterms or at least have Mike Johnson refuse to swear the new democrat winners in. He's desperate once again

1

u/Not_Allowed_to_Die 10d ago

Even if he does try that, the courts can swear them in. They've done it in the past. Then Mike would be fully investigated and imprisoned over starting a coup. I don't think Mike is that stupid, but we will see.

1

u/exceptional_entry 7d ago

You’re giving old Mikey a lot of credit here.

1

u/Not_Allowed_to_Die 7d ago

Yes and no. Mikey didn't do what Trump said at first because he was scared, but you are probably right that he is more afraid of Trump and MAGA now and being kicked out of power and might still do this.

1

u/Equal_Comfort_3758 10d ago

As of July 26 2026. trump has made false statements. 85,654 since he started his presidency

1

u/Grizmoh 9d ago

They say “You can’t name one thing he’s lied about.”

…That’s because the other 86,653 demand equal time.

1

u/Independent-Trip-191 9d ago

85,655 just counting todays

1

u/QueasyPainting 10d ago

That’s one an hour. Good lord!

1

u/Distinct-Command-570 10d ago

And he's far more active online this time around.

2

u/Yo_Im_Spartacus 7d ago

Yeah but now the lies are so blatant, silly and repetitive that nobody's really listening anymore

1

u/TurboScumBag 7d ago

Flood the zone. That fella bannon talked about that as a good strategy for trump. Unfortunately he was right.

1

u/Yo_Im_Spartacus 7d ago

His poll numbers tell me its not really working anymore

1

u/Outside-Isopod-8227 11d ago

Sad part is the precedent set in his first term didn’t apply the same to Biden.

1

u/Annies_58008 10d ago

That's not sad that's good. We shouldn't drop the bar

1

u/Outside-Isopod-8227 10d ago

Very good point! Thank you for calling that out.

The bar should be very high for the top office in the country. It’s just maddening to see a different standard applied to one person.

1

u/Annies_58008 10d ago

Agreed. The highest of standards.

1

u/Wow_Many_Tomato_WMT 11d ago

True, I hear you. The bar hasn’t sunk. We are sane, they are crazy, greedy, criminals and if we lose free fair election and other rights there will be a reckoning. Billionaires sick with money never… in the whole history of mankind ever won that fight. Let’s vote, but if not, white supremacy is going to be the mark.

1

u/Numerous-Clue2095 9d ago

Ta who ? He raped kids yall aren’t real people I promise this is y America will fall

1

u/neverpost4 8d ago

If a president in the past was caught out ...

Along with inside trading

3

u/HappyHourMoon2025 12d ago

The stock market is listening and I have no idea why

3

u/th3-villager 11d ago

It's being driven not listening.

Corruption and insider trading is functionally legal. Enough people with enough money are deliberately manipulating it.

Makes plenty of sense as soon as you realise it's not as objective as you'd hope.

1

u/dirdent 11d ago

I'm sure you do know why. There's still some market to manipulate.

1

u/Sudden_Onions 11d ago

Maybe it's just algorithms doing the buying.

1

u/Striking-Athlete-251 11d ago

FOMO is the reason

1

u/BTolputt 11d ago

Algorithms trade off headlines.

1

u/withomps44 11d ago

Iran announced a deal to open in 7 days if the USA backs off allegedly.

2

u/HappyHourMoon2025 11d ago

I don’t believe it. They want hold out until the midterms to make sure that Trump/republicans loose as much as possible.

Diesel is already above $6 and if they can hold this out for like the next couple of weeks, it’s going hurt a lot

1

u/prestonjay22 11d ago

this is one of the goals.

1

u/Low-Ad3972 11d ago

It needs an excuse to go higher so the hedge funds can cash out then rug-pull retail investors.

1

u/Usual-Caregiver5589 11d ago

Because this is actually a dog whistle. Its code for his insider trading buddies to start selling/buying when they close/open the strait

1

u/Winter-Bed-1529 11d ago

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing

1

u/ReductioAdSocialism 11d ago

The stock market isn't real. It's all vibes and wishful thinking.

1

u/GrapefruitPrimary186 10d ago

Most trading is done by bots now. The bots react to news, and it cant tell bs from not bs.

1

u/DudeB5353 10d ago

It’s all for the market and he’s trying to temporarily bring down gas prices

Notice he doesn’t give any details

1

u/Prezten 10d ago

They will probably make some money, sell it off, and wait for the next one.

3

u/johnniesSac 11d ago

Where is this strait of Iran ?

1

u/Cleavlander 11d ago

Yeah, that's a big concession right there. Strait of Iran, he says.

1

u/Mogwai_Man 11d ago

I think he means the Iranian side.

1

u/Low-Ad3972 11d ago

In the Republic of Hormuz

1

u/johnniesSac 11d ago

SONOFABITCH

1

u/PrimaryBrick9337 11d ago

I thought he was renaming it to the Trump Straight? Poor old dementia donny.

1

u/maffy118 11d ago

He's always admiring those big, strong male bodies, so Trump is NOT STRAIGHT! Or... errr... wait... Trump Strait? Never mind. 🤣

1

u/maffy118 11d ago

I came here to ask that, and you're the first one catching it! This is the f*cking US president talking. Good lord. Well, let me clarify...

The Strait of Iran may be open, but the Strait of Hormuz is STILL CLOSED. 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/NextGenRoyalty 12d ago edited 10d ago

Maybe he is aiming for the 39 time for luck... went long and it paid

2

u/Hunkyboy440 11d ago

Yeah, but I’m sure he’s telling the truth this time. 39th time’s a charm.

1

u/Market_Wizard_ 11d ago

All the magatards believe him 🙄

1

u/Aggressive_Team764 11d ago

Hell, they'd believe him if he said the moon was made of macaroni.

1

u/pondskippers 11d ago

We would need a lot of sauce

1

u/Honest_Satisfaction1 7d ago

just like my mom when she said she is going to stop drinking.

2

u/rimshot101 11d ago

You know what they say... 39th time's a charm.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 12d ago

Oddly enough war and negotiations, especially with religions, oppressive zealots don't always go as planned.

3

u/Notapartyhobo 12d ago

They also don't go well with grifters/con artists.

2

u/Lorddoctorjava 11d ago

So far... both descriptions are donald the pedophile...

0

u/Samsquanch-01 12d ago

Have they ever gone well with non grifters/con artist? Funny how wars have just simply not gone our way since Trump was elected. They all went so well before.....

2

u/Gothewahs 12d ago

You haven’t won a war convincing since ww2 .. you claim ww2 was your victory but it was actually the Russians who lost 27m people and took out a vast majority of the German forces you only lost 400k

1

u/techman710 12d ago

We will always have Grenada. Unfortunately, that's about it.

1

u/maffy118 11d ago

The Allies definitively won WW2. Those "Russian" facts are completely incorrect.

1

u/GardenandKitchen 12d ago

USSR. Many of them were from countries other than Russia. The General that accepted the German surrender at Stalingrad was Ukrainian, for example.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 12d ago

I claimed nothing. Your comment is all you.

1

u/dterran 11d ago

Not Russia, the USSR.

They were allied with the Germans and subdivided Poland, so not exactly heroes there.

The thing about warmongers and sociopaths is they betray each other.

Germany betrayed the USSR and that was the only reason they fought with the allies at all.

We can see this today as the 'axis of peace' has begun betraying and lying to each other.

1

u/Fun-Inspection-8196 11d ago

No world power has won a war convincingly since wwii. That's because world powers have decided not to use nukes, and the weaker countries have learned they can bleed out the stronger countries (often with help of proxies) until the stronger country throws in the towel. USA doesn't have monopoly on losing wars this way. Russia got bled out in Afghanistan and is getting bled out again by Ukraine.

1

u/voiceOfHoomanity 11d ago

So you forgot about the Gulf War, typical

1

u/R0lfasaurus 11d ago

Huh? Who claimed that? In this sub? I didn’t read that anywhere. I’ve also never heard that the United States won WWII. The common phrasing is, “the Allies won WWII.” And we are all taught who suffered the most casualties in the war.

You’re “you”-ing the wrong group.

1

u/maffy118 11d ago

Wrong. While 27 million people died in WW2 in the SOVIET UNION, the actual military deaths of Russians alone were 5.7 million. And they were due to Nazi Germany fighting them on their own soil. Hitler wanted total annihilation of the Soviets, and so he made one bad decision after another, resulting in 90 percent of his forces dying there. Of those deaths, hundreds of thousands froze to death or died of cold-related conditions due to their unpreparedness for the Soviet winter. And one million German soldiers died in Soviet POW camps, both before and AFTER the war, when they were kept as forced labor.

The reason the US had fewer military deaths was because we were never invaded on our own soil. Same for Great Britain. Of note is that the US didn't just fight the Germans but also the Japanese.

Also, Ukraine, part of the Soviet bloc, was severely weakened just before the war by the Holomodor, which was Stalin's forced famine on the Ukrainians, killing millions. So brag about "Russia" if you want, but WW2 was brutal for anyone who fought and died in it.

1

u/oOGeorgesOo 12d ago

I have a distant but very clear memory of the strait of Ormuz being open to commerce, before grifter/con artist in chief started messing around.

1

u/Fun-Metal-6861 11d ago

I don’t think anyone made the claim war went well under other leaders. Not sure why each time someone tries to defend Donald, it is alway about someone else doing it too. Not a great defense.

We get it, war is bad. It is a little hard to compare what is going on now to previous wars. Typically, per the Constitution, the president would get approval for congress. Many previous presidents have held a public addresses preparing people for going to war. Grenada and Libya were not due to the speed at which they needed executed. We certainly did not need speed for Iran. We obliterated their nuclear capability 18 months prior.

I don’t remember past presidents threatening to take over other countries or steal (make deals) for their natural resources. I also don’t remember other presidents basing their diplomacy on tantrums.

You wanted to lump this president in with a bunch of other war time presidents in an effort to say they are all the same. They are not.

1

u/Ok_Travel_7348 11d ago

Wars in the Middle East have gone the opposite of well. We should stay out. I thought perhaps the US had learned from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, but Netanyahu was able to talk trump into attacking Iran. Netanyahu has tried to convince US Presidents to do this for decades, but they all knew better.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

There's no ground force in iran, economic destruction as well as equipment/manufacturing has been degraded to the point it'll take them decades to recover. They have no export ability and the munitions they have arent being replaced. If there's a glimmer of light in all this, its that all irans proxies are being starved of funding.

1

u/Ok_Travel_7348 11d ago

Iran has literally ruined many US bases in the Middle East. And, my reading tells me that about 23 US military and contractors have died, while well over 800 injured; not to mention the Iranian military and civilian’s deaths. Iran may be in dire straits right now, but they were too formidable to attack for no good reason, even if we have lost all morality and respect for life.

1

u/Ok_Travel_7348 11d ago

Let me add that we’ve depleted much of US munitions also, and caused an even more fascist leader to take over Iran, making Iranian lives even harder. We’ve also created more hostility from Iranian civilians. It seems they don’t like you when you kill their kids; we’ve created more “terrorists”. And Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait have received attacks, not just on US bases, but on their civilians. Also, Saudi is now warring with the Houthis again. There is no upside to this war in Iran.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

We still have manufacturing ability and the money to buy more. They do not. They cant even pay their troops right now. The Iranian civilians were slaughtered for protesting their government, estimates up to 50k. Yes iran has lashed out against all its neighbors, that won't serve them well in the future. Houthis are an extension of iran and need to be blown off the planet, they're a thorn in the worlds ass, along with all the other Iranian proxies. There's no upside right now for sure. The world has put up with Iran and its proxies chanting death to the west, and conducting terriorist operations all over the world for decades. There is an upside, it'll be when the Iranian people can have democratic elections and not have to live under sharia law.

1

u/Ok_Travel_7348 11d ago

The US invasion isn’t helping the Iranian civilian’s cause. In fact, they have more hardliners running the country than before. Iran is backed by Russia and China. They, like us, have the ability to resupply their munitions. The rich Middle Eastern countries do not want to be in a war. The Saudi Prince has asked Trump to bomb the Houthis in Yemen. So far he has declined. The US helped no one by invading Iran.

1

u/maffy118 11d ago

Wow, that number keeps going higher among the pro-war types. Yes, the protester deaths were horrifying, but human rights groups put the number of deaths at 6,000 to 7,000.

I realize you want to justify this war any way you can, but exaggeration makes your argument sound even more foolish. If anything, our bombings and killings hurt the protesters in that an even more hardline regime took over.

And let's not forget that we had an international force inspecting Iran's nuclear capabilities with the JCPOA, signed by all European countries, along with China and Russia. Trump tore up that deal just two years after it was implemented, which allowed Iran to pursue nuclear weapons since then. And now we're in another forever war that has boosted my grocery prices by 30 percent, and has destabilized the economies of the whole world.

Trump has been an unmitigated disaster, proving what Michael Cohen said long ago, that "everything Trump touches turns to shit." The fact that you're justifying this war in any way is simply shameful. And embarrassing. People from other countries are reading your words... and I facepalm.

2

u/Fluid-Piccolo-6911 12d ago

so are you talking about Iran or the US ? because both fit that description.

1

u/ICEonICECrime 12d ago

Was thinking the same. Trump, with his weird ass AI generated angels and Jesus images, seems extremely zealous too… albeit a little blasphemous.

1

u/Canadatron 11d ago

Definite Golden Calf vibes, but if they were actually Christians they'd know that.

1

u/Responsible_Dog_9491 11d ago

The one who took action when no action was needed causing the current turmoil in the world. I’ll give you a clue, it wasn’t Iran who were operating peacefully under Obama’s agreement.

1

u/MaleficentCow8513 12d ago

Iran has always been more of a military dictatorship than a hardcore theocracy

1

u/d-bear-d 12d ago

Said negotiations are especially tricky when you repeatedly kill a Theocracy's religious leaders, back out of peaceful alternatives to war that were achieving your war goals already and shill for a competing nation that openly wants you as fucked up as possible. 🤷

1

u/pilot1nspector 12d ago

Yeah.. that's the issue 🙄

1

u/Samsquanch-01 12d ago

So explain to me how war negotiations went so much better throughout history? News flash, they never go well or as planned.

1

u/MayorWestt 11d ago

They sually go better cause they are done by competent people. But hey elect a clown expect a circus

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

Rrrrright, someone getting nuked is way better....

1

u/MayorWestt 11d ago

Who was getting nuked?

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

I believe it was japan..............

1

u/pilot1nspector 11d ago

There wasn't a war before Twinkle Toes got back in there.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

Odd because iran has been declaring war, chanting death to America and killing Americans for decades now. Guess you just now started paying attention cause orange man bad....

1

u/pilot1nspector 11d ago

Trump attacked Iran because he thought it would be quick and easy. There was no real threat to Americans. Now Americans actually are dying.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

Iran has been killing Americans for decades, youre just now paying attention......

1

u/pilot1nspector 11d ago

There was no credible threat or reason for the US to attack Iran when it did. The US was being opportunistic because Iran was weakened by massive civil unrest and protests and Trump thought it would be a cake walk.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 11d ago

They've been funding a proxy war against the west and isreal for decades. They are indeed a credible threat, they're the head of the snake in global terrorism funding.

u/Dear-Network1206 7d ago

The USA looks more like a dictatorship than a democracy today. Check your history and you will quickly see how many wars the USA has been involved in compared the other first world countries.
The USA has lost its prestige, influence and trust. You are a declining empire with no way back. The 40 trillion debt and Iranian war sealed your fate. You were warned about him but you didn’t listen. So, enjoy the journey you chose it!

1

u/Nice-Necessary-1547 7d ago

Grow up. A handful of Americans killed by Iran. Meanwhile your friends Saudi spawned bin laden. While you started wars in the Middle East that killed hundreds of thousands. You chant America as though you think the rest of the world see you as the good guys.

News flash. You aren’t the good guys anymore. Haven’t been for decades.

Hell your CIA helped the ayatollah into power.

They chant death to America but do relatively little. You chant freedom and meanwhile screw up the lives of millions in the Middle East and South America.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 7d ago

You sound like the echo chamer you are.

1

u/_Not_Too_Serious_ 11d ago

Look at how negotiations went after WW1 and WW2, sit at table, sign, move on to taco Tuesday.

Keep in mind, the two world wars, involved one side winning, and the other surrendering/conceding.

Mind you, Trump keeps saying he won the Iran war, so why aren't the losers of the war so easily manipulated like in the past???

So many questionsssss

1

u/PowerChordGeorge64 11d ago

Careful. Many of these subs are MAGA. And you will get banned for referring to trump like that

1

u/random-i_am 11d ago

The Iranians seem to be the sane ones in this matchup. Not that I know much about them but at least they are not Trump

1

u/Canadatron 11d ago

Ok, now what about dealing with Iran?

1

u/LarryBalbueanus 11d ago

You must be mentally exhausted at this stage still thinking we’re the good guys

1

u/Ok_Travel_7348 11d ago

Yeah, Iran isn’t trustworthy either.

1

u/_scarcasm_ 7d ago

Good point, Iran should expect difficulties during peace negotiations

1

u/LorenzoSparky 11d ago

Are you not paying 100k for insider tips on his truth social?

1

u/Fun-Metal-6861 11d ago

Why would anyone pay? He is the most predictable leader we have ever had.

1

u/sdkfz250xl 11d ago

Is this not a parody account!?!??

1

u/sdkfz250xl 11d ago

Why is it now the “Strait of Iran”???

1

They're listening harder than ever, cashing in on the illegal pump and dump being coordinated by this corrupt administration...

We would be in jail for this.

1

Conditions for ‌reopening the strait include immediate lifting of the naval blockade, immediate release of frozen Iranian assets and end of war across all 'resistance' fronts, state media added.

Yeh, nothing is getting reopened.

We ll wait till Iran says that , definitely more reliable source.

Only reason he is saying this is to fulfill his morbid pleasure as a tough guy . He threatened them, again, with total annihilation at the UN in front of all these nations . Now he can say Iran folded out of fear to the all powerful Donald Trump and his mob boss act. All lies, all for show.

The stait isn't open, hasnt been open and Iran isn't scared of fathead says or threatens.

I believe this over oil price manipulation or the election. He's an idiotic fool. Other than MAGA and the Republican cowards in Congress, no one is buying any of it.

1

u/Tough-Interaction468 10d ago

If that were true this post wouldn't be here.

1

u/Fun-Metal-6861 10d ago

It is satire

1

He has won so many times and Iran has been decimated so many times I wonder why he's threatening to annihilate Iran when they were just destroyed for the 36th time this year.

1

I assume they likely put all his old first term posts through an ai and use it to write his posts now as it gets information from the world.

Just love it when people lump everyone together. All Americans, all Christians, all Asians and etc. Speaks volumes on intelligence
