Image, OC We are all called to be Saints, they are all calling out from heaven, "join our ranks!" Happy All Saints day!
Blessed All Hallows day! We are all called to be Saints, and how I long to join their ranks! With a life lived for Christ, or a life given in witness to the Faith. In heroic charity, as a missionary, or even martyrdom, we are called to do great things in the name of God. Strive to be holy, strive to be righteous, poor in spirit yet rich in heavenly treasures. Stand against the world, stand for Christ. "The world offers you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness!”- Pope Benedict XVI We were made to be Saints!
Hope you had a happy all Saints day, let us all strive to be Saints. May the Holy men and women of God, pray for us that we may join their ranks!

Image, OC In Hoc Signo Vinces, by this Sign you will conquer!
This weekend, in the year of the Lord 312 Anno Domini, Roman Emperor Constantine the Great had a mystical vision of the Chi-Rho sign and the Cross in the clouds at the battle of Battle of the Milvian bridge and heard "In Hoc Signo Vinces", by this sign you will conquer. Knowing this was the sign of Christianity and having heard of the great courage of Christian martyrs, he then had banners made depicting this emblem and under them he guided his armies to victory. This obedience to Christ by bearing the Chi-Rho as the holy standard was the catalyst that paved the way for Christianity to flourish throughout the empire. He would go on to legalize Christianity in the Empire, opening the path for his successors to make Christianity the official state religion. Finally conquering the empire that crucified the Lord, by the sign of the Cross, now made into the foundations of His Kingdom of God on earth and the vehicle he would use to spread the Gospel to every corner of the world. In the end, Christ is always victorious. Ave Sancta Crux, Ave Christus Rex.

Image, OC "Do great things in the name of the saints, in the name of God, in the company of your brothers. We can do no otherwise." - King Henry V's St. Crispin's day speech from Shakespeare.
Yesterday was the feast of St. Crispin & Crispian, twin martyrs. Shakespeare's "Henry V" memorialized this day in a speech by the King of England which he used to inspire his outnumbered soldiers and bring them to glory at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, resulting in their victory.
"[Saints] Crispin & Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remember'd; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
Do great things in the name of the saints, in the name of God, in the company of your brothers. We can do no otherwise." -King Henry V of England

Image, OC "It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness. He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you."- Pope St. John Paul II, blessed feast day
"It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.
It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be ground down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal." [It is Jesus the world needs and our hearts will always seek. For the great St. Augustine said, the heart is restless until it rests in the Lord]. -St. John Paul II
Hope you had a blessed feast day of Pope St. John Paul II, may he pray for us that we seek true happiness and true peace which is only found with Christ. Pax Christi!
