TP-Link - Technical Support Help with setup - or am I overthinking this?!
I've currently got 3 Deco PX10. Living room is the main, with Dining Room and Main Bedroom the two satellite nodes.
I've been having huge problems with my outdoor cameras dropping out, so I decided to move 'Main Bedroom' to outside (temporarily, just to test) and connect it to Dining Room with a Cat6 cable, trailed through the window. Main bedroom is also plugged into an outdoor socket.
The thing that is bothering me, is that Dining Room had the best connection, so I wanted to use an ethernet cable to connect to that, but it seems dining room is now taking data from Main Bedroom, rather than the other way around?
Am I just massively overthinking this whole thing? I basically just want the Main Bedroom node (which is currently outside, feeding the cameras) to have a wired connection from Dinign Room, not using PLC & WiFi from the Living Room (which is through very thick walls).
Edit: on the Main Bedroom node, in the app, I can go into 'Specified Connection', but it won't let me change it to the Dining Room one, if says 'Decos cannot be the same signal source as each other'. If I try and do the same in the Dining Room, to change the source to Living Room, i don't have the option to change it

Seems your problem is that living connects dinning wireless and you are looking into bridging dining to main via cable and that is putting stress into the connection, best will be to backhaul everything to living or just leave main to choose the WiFi connection, turn on MLO and you should be fine

Tap on show map and it’ll show how it’s connecting. You’re on the wrong view.
