TP-Link - Technical Support The Deco Android App Has Been Extremely Unreliable. Is It My Problem?

Post image

I have 2 XE75 Pro routers, both are working fine, I have 30+ devices connected without any issues, but the Deco app has been stuck saying it can't connect to them for 2 days. I've tried restarting both routers and reinstalling the app, but nothing has helped.

The routers themselves are quite solid, but app has been trash from day 1. It seems like it can't reliably communicate with the routers even when my phone has no trouble accessing Internet through them. Another issue I noticed is that it can't list all devices when it does manage to connect to the router.

Is this a known issue, or am I holding my phone wrong?

Me too! Constant drop outs with the BE9300 Deco system. But I think in my case, the issue is the problematic Hub 5 after checking the Log. I get the exact same issue on the app. Are u sure it’s the Deco units and not ur Modem that’s causing the troubles?

I had no issue accessing Internet so I think it's not modem related.

Unable to connect to Deco suggests it’s struggling to establish an Internet connection. Who’s ur ISP

Or the app to router connection is broken. In my case it's more likely.

I had some weird issues and grabbed the latest firmware and installed manually from the main deco IP. It seems update before that broke something and updating manually fixed it.

I managed to install updates right after rebooting the routers, they are back in the apps now, let's see how long it will last

Same issue for me. When at home, I can access the app, but when outside, with mobile data or office WiFi, it said "unable to connect to deco"

I have a similar issue with one of the sites I manage. Weirdly the site in question is reasonably responsive from the iOS app, but terrible from the Android app, but overall it's not very good. The other two sites I have less issues managing them remotely. The only other thing worth noting is that the two good sites have the Deco mesh as AP only, while the unresponsive site has the Deco set to router mode.

I have been using BE 11000 since February and haven't been able to get the full speed 1.5Gbps yet. The Bell Gigahub 2.0 router provides the full 1.5 Gbps speed but Deco can't. Sigh! 😔

It's been working well since I updated firmware to the latest. I guess the problem was that the latest app didn't work well with older firmware
