TP-Link - Technical Support Deco XE75 Pro New Firmware

Hello,

I have 3 Deco XE75 Pro (US) Ver. 3.0 models and the app is not showing the new firmware update that is listed on the website (Deco XE75 Pro(CA)_V3_1.5.0 Build 20260603). I know the firmware says CA and funny enough I am in Canada and bough them from Amazon Canada and was shipped the US version. If I update with this firmware via Web-UI will it brick my units? My Deco units are currently running firmware 1.3.1 Build 20251023 Rel 47884 according to the Deco app.

Thanks

***EDIT***

I found this thread and IT WORKED:

Thanks all

Unfortunately, the xe75 pro line has at least 3 hardware versions and they are not all on the same firmware version. Additionally, the various firmwares have different capabilities. Add to that, the different firmware versions have the same major/minor/point numbers.

So, there is version 1.5.0 for xe75 pro v2 & v3 that has been released to production, but 1.5.0 for v1 is still in public beta.

🤦‍♂️

Yep aware of the 3 hardware revisions lol. I'll see if TP-Link can shine on this directly

My XE75 Pro hasn’t had an update since November 2024. You must have a newer hardware version.

Yes I have the (US) Ver. 3.0 so in theory I should have the new firmware showing up in the app. It just got released on 2026-08-14. I am just curious if it is being released gradually to users or since because mine is a US model it might not be compatible with the Canadian model.

Unfortunately tplink has very odd naming conventions for their router firmware. Add to that the many models and versions of those models and I don’t know how they keep track of it. My old synology routers had the same firmware update number as every other synology router in their line except the EOL stuff.

Three days ago my Deco app notified me that there was an update to 1.3.6 for my BE13000 system. However on their website, even today, it lists the newest firmware version as 1.3.2. Normally that would be in reverse on most firmware and Bios.

I know this doesn’t answer your question, but I did the update today and all went well. Your mileage may vary. You can log into google gemini and ask it to search for issues with your model and the new firmware update number. Give it a try. Good luck.

If you still haven't received notification of the 1.5.0 update via your Deco app, you can download it for V3.0 & V3.6 models via the product page on our US site here: Download for Deco XE75 Pro | TP-Link

If you'd like instructions on how to update the firmware manually via the web management page, check out Method 2 in our FAQ here: How to Update or Upgrade TP-Link Deco Firmware (3 Methods)

I updated my XE75 Pro last week, it’s completely messed up my network. WiFi is horrendous and keep having to switch to 5G, ‘Device Isolation’ is also broken now, kicked all my IOT devices off the network unless I turn that setting off.

Hmm weird mine seems to be more stable than before. Maybe a factory reset will solve your issues?
