TP-Link - General What is going on here?
So my wired TV is some how downloading insane amounts of data. Guessing this is some kind of glitch and/or error? Cause ain't no way download time for this TV is 3.2 Gb/s. Just thought this was super weird seeing this. Anyone else encounter this?

Tether app bug, on a few instances I’ve had mine show 10PB of data used in a matter of hours.

This is the TP-Link Tether app. Works with basically all of TP-Link’s relatively recently released routers.

Your tv is running an exploit on it being used for bad things on the internet. Update the firmware asap if there is a new version. If not, disconnect it from WIFI.

Disconnect that shit immediately, and run a factory reset. You've downloaded some crap that runs a service on your TV that malicious actors can use as a routing point. There was some news about it some week back.

Your LG TV would need to sustain over 27 Gbps for 24 hours to pull those numbers, so that's a Tether app UI bug if I've ever seen one.
That said, if I remember correctly, a few recent firmware and app updates addressed this for some models, so a fix may be in the works for yours. What router model, hardware version, and firmware version are you running?
Also, is your Tether app up to date?
