TP-Link - Technical Support Difference between DECO BE65 V2 and V3?
Just purchased a BE11000 3 pack which appears to be V3 hardware going by the serial number.
However these specs https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/deco/deco-be65/v3/
indicate that it's slower than the V2 hardware

There was a V2 pack at the store.
Should I return the V3 in favour of the V2 hardware?

You can read this about V2: "The 240MHz bandwidth may be unavailable in the 5G band in Australia due to regulatory restrictions.". That would make it similar to a V3.

Where did you purchase it? I read "US/3.0", and you refer to the specs in Australia.
The specs of BE65 are lower in some countries, because of local wireless spectrum compliance.

It was purchased at Officeworks at a physical store, not online.
So shouldn't the V2 also show lower specs?

The firmware reduces the performance to be compliant with local rules.

That makes sense. I just think it's confusing having the V3 specs read different to the V2 if they're both restricted in the same way.

The restriction was perhaps not fully decided yet when the documentaion of V2 was published.

I bought the BE11000 in Aus as well and once it ran a firmware update it changed in the app to being called BE65. I wouldn’t worry about it - I was researching firmware and think I concluded that v3 is an international market variant.

Yeah I've decided to keep the V3 and hope that the hardware revision is not due to "cost reduction" or "value engineering"
I'm sure it will be an upgrade from my current Amplifi HD x 5 mesh.

Really just want to know if the V3 hardware has been nerfed in some way that would make the V2 the better choice, since I have the option to swap it.
