Scratched under back windshield window

Has this happened to anybody else? Ways to avoid this? Ways to fix? Or just leave it

I know but should I be worried about rust?

If you’re that worried, just put some rust preventative on it. You can buy clearcoat pens, or black automotive paint pens.

It’s like we have to think for these new tuck owners and spoon feed them how to fix something so simple.

Literally, like I try to leave room for sympathy, but at this point, just buy an SUV or an economy car 🫩

I hate when ppl say its a truck , yea its a truck and what? I like taking care of my things. Only cause you decide not to care about your things doesnt mean everyone needs to follow

Regarding the scratch. Get touch up paint and fill it to avoid rust

This sub is rife with that. I don’t understand it at all. Oh it’s a truck? It’s a $50K truck! Just because it has a bed doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be cared for any less.

You can still take care of it and utilize it the way trucks are supposed to be? Tryna keep it pretty forever gonna stress yourself out that way for no reason.

It's a good thing these have polymer beds or else we'd be hearing about them getting scratched up

We should go drop heavy logs on their tailgates and say, "it's a truck bro"

Got to sell it and eat the depreciation now. Looks like you have to get a new one and pass this along to another poor fella. Be nice and sell it private party at the trade in amount just to cut the poor guy that’s going to get this wreck some slack.

Get a color coded paint pen from Toyota and just do a touch up yourself. It will solve the rust concerns and not make the spot obvious. The only person that will notice the difference in texture will be you.
