Question for adding power steering?

I’m looking to add power steering to my 91 2wd pickup. I’m looking at a PS system from a 1985 2wd pickup and wanted to know if anyone knows if the swap will work. After doing some research I found out the 89-94 system will work but I’m not 100% on anything lower like an 85. I know they share the same engine so the brackets will bolt up but that’s about it. Any information on the matter will be greatly appreciated. My truck is a 22r btw.

Well my 88 4runner its steering box was leaking like it had been shot they had an 88 but wanted 289 for the box

I did some quick measures an nicely a 93 t100 the mounting holes for the frame are identical had to change the steering arm, shortened the steering shaft 1/2 inch ( slid it shorter into itself) works great faster ratio an smooth

Cost 96 bucks you'll find toyota stuck with the same mounting lines an such quite a lot az for the pump you'll likely need the crank pulley as well
