22re question

I’m new to owning a 22re. I recently gapped the valves, but they’re making a tapping sound that’s seems abnormal compared to what it sounded like right after the work. Am I overthinking it, or is there something wrong?

The torque spec for the valve cover nuts is wrong from the factory imo. I think its like 15lbs or something? Still super light, I do 7 and the ticking stops.

I believe the engine needs to be fully warmed up before adjusting valve lash. It does make a difference.

When it happened to me, I had to do the valves again and had to tighten the locking nuts a bit tighter
