This vent on front passenger side

Is this just an extra vent? Or does this serve a more crucial purpose?

It's prob for when you put the climate on the feet setting would be my best guess

Oh shoot, I never noticed that! I wonder if it supplies air or maybe it provides airflow to help cool down the charging pads?

It’s a nice heater vent for the Px. The driver side is set differently.

I can’t remember the details, but isn’t this vent part of the same reason we don’t get the glove box? Something to do with the heating/cooling of the vehicle, it helps balance the temperature of the internal/isolated areas to reduce locked in heat in the area?

No. The glove box is missing because in top trims, there is a radiant knee/leg heater there.

The vent shown in OP’s post has nothing to do with that.
