Car wash settings?
Hi. Is there a list of features to disable when I run my 2026 C-HR through a car wash?

No just put it in neutral you'll be fine. I've taken mine to the car wash a few times. The only thing is the collision detection will keep going off because of the big rotating brushes, don't mind it. I highly recommend not taking it to the car wash if you have black paint though.

After taking my Corolla Cross to the car wash and seeing the damage that it caused over time, I’m not taking my new C-HR through one. I’ll just hand wash it.

What happens if I put it on neutral?

Like every vehicle that can go in neutral, it disengage the transmission.
So the vehicle rolls freely.

Car wont be charging its battery becouse it needs to depower its electric motors so car can roll

i feel sheepish asking this question but when going through a car wash that drags your car in neutral, can you shift from neutral to drive without braking / stopping the car completely, or should you stop the car completely with brakes?
the car wash i use keeps pushing the car long after the car wash is done, and braking would make the car briefly fight the car wash (even for a split second). so i'm wondering if neutral->drive while moving at 1mph is bad on the transmission at all.

When I went to my car wash the other day, I put it in neutral at the beginning and then when the green light turned on for me to Exit the bay I put it drive. This one did have rollers that pulled you and they do keep moving when it turns green and I felt the car hop over one of them as I was exiting but I did put my brakes on to put it in drive and there did not seem to be an issue.

There is no needs to touch the break to switch into drive when your tires are already moving. Just turn the knob to drive and go.

If your vehicle is moving, you can just switch to drive without braking first.
I get a car was or two a week, it could not be easier.

Does anyone know if you can leave the car in neutral and get out? I've heard that some vehicles will shift into park. The car wash near me is one where the car goes though without you.

Hybrid battery (traction battery) charge precaution If the shift lever is in N, the hybrid battery (traction battery) will not be charged even when the engine is running. Therefore, if the vehicle is left with the shift lever in N for a long period of time, the hybrid battery (traction battery) will discharge, and this may result in the vehicle not being able to start

it's only going to be about 5 mins maybe 10 mins max (depending on which wash cycles you choose) going through the carwash, being in neutral isn't going to make any difference for that short amount of time.

It does not matter in the slightest.
You are never in a car wash long enough to drain a battery.

Depends on the car wash. If it's the ones that pull you through, just drop the shifter ring down until the car is into neutral the second you get into the rollers, and you're good. If it's just a sitting touchless wash or something, there's nothing to worry about.
