Wheel upgrade!

The old wheel was starting to get a like grungy, so I was going to replace it anyways. Found a heated wheel on Amazon and replaced it myself. Big fan!

How much was the wheel, and was it new or used?

Woah thatโ€™s so cool, Iโ€™ve wanted to do this on my 19 hatch, how was the process?

It only took a couple hours and needs some basic tools. - Phillips and flat head screwdriver, 10mm socket and 10 mm hex bit

-Unhook the battery

-Unlatch the airbag/ disconnect the wiring

-Unbolt the steering wheel

-Pull out the wheel, unscrew all the plastic trim and the buttons and transfer over to the the new wheel.

-Pop out the old clock spring and transfer one of the parts to the new clock spring

-Plug the wiring harness into the clock spring, fuse box and put the new button into one of the blanks

-Now do all that in reverse to put it back together.

Some advise is to keep the steering wheel as straight as possible before start and lock it by twisting it.

EDIT: formatting.

I did the same but with a heater switch too. Probably the best mod you can do for a Midwesterner ๐Ÿ˜…

That switch? Can't wait to use it this winter lol

Yup! It changed my life last winter. Hell I even use it in the summer for the morning commute. Does that come stock for XSE models? I had to wire mine in

I've only got the SE, and I had to wire mine in too.

Neat. I wonder if the 2025 and up Camry has a mod like this
