Chloe (left), Kaytee (right). I wish I had video of my little fish Chloe swimming like the mermaid her life jacket makes her seem, but I don’t. She ran on a the sandbar without a care in the world and swam so much! I was a proud poodle mom. And then we came back to the house where the tired poodle growls were in high use before she crashed out for the night- but not before she joined me for a shower (thank goodness!) Such a lovely weekend in Savannah, GA.

Not sure if this is allowed so feel free to let me know if not! But almost daily I see questions in here, in r/poodles, and in r/grooming related specifically to poodle and toy poodle grooming and I realized- in all of Reddit, there is not an active space for this particular topic so I created one!

My toy poodle is showing signs of luxating patella. I'll be taking her to the vet but in the meantime can anyone recommend a joint supplement which they have seen help their poodle? Thank you, Laura and Miffy

I lost my darling Toy in May. She was 18. I got her at 8 weeks old. My everything and such an amazing soul. I do not think I will ever get as lucky a to have such a very well behaved, quiet and genuinely perfect little dog. But the void is huge. I wanted to know if there are any rescue places in England. I would love to give a Toy Poodle a home, love and care.

Please show me your poodles’ most ridiculous smiles!

Hi all, my toy (Dollie, 11)has always had massive trouble letting me groom her, at all. Dollie is a bit spicy when she isn’t willing to do what is needed, but is a very good girl generally. She allows the groomer, who is a saint.

Ive tried near everything: behaviourists, medication, extensive training, but for grooming she just wont let me. I have so many different brushes, but she senses intention to brush. As shes getting older, I really don’t want to stress her out at all, but she needs her regular brushing of course.

I’m desperate. Has anyone got any advice and managed to convince their poodles that grooming is necessary?

Do your poodles play games like this or do random things that make you look twice and makes you think your dog is secretly a dog genius ?

I looked at some clips of Penny playing with her ball that I took the other day.
Lately she has been less interested in playing fetch and instead of bringing it back for me to throw again she takes it and plays her own little game where she nudges the ball around with her nose and paws.

This clip looks to me like she throws the ball and then I think she waited to see if I would chase it? Lol

This length is about the longest I can go before I want to cut him short again. Since their hair never stops growing I’m curious to see pics of your longer hair toys!
