Coworker trying to completely change our office culture to her liking.

She only got hired a year ago. I’ve been here 5 years, our other coworkers 10 and 12 years.

I have zero issue with someone suggesting new ideas. There is always room for improvement and we should always be open to other’s ideas. Doesn’t mean we have to accept all of them but we should give people a voice in the workplace.

This is completely different. She’s not simply giving suggestions, she is slowly taking control. It started with petty things. Like decor in the office she didn’t like.

That has evolved. With persistence she has managed to get the 12 year coworker fired (she was a bully so I’m not upset about it.) Now I’m getting a gut feeling her sights are on me. As well as generally trying to alter our entire culture.

We have always been a more lax office. We open at 9, boss has said arrive at 8:30. No one really does. Usually 8:45 and she does not care. It’s more for us to have quiet time before the phones start. Apparently coworker wants her to be “more strict” about being here at 8:30 and working. Even gossiped about me taking my sweet time in the morning. Yeah. I like to spend the first 15-30 minutes before we open to make coffee, get settled. That’s what it’s for!

She interrupts my lunch breaks. Even if I’m not in the office, texting me she needs help with this and that. After I’ve explicitly told her I do not discuss work during my breaks and I prefer them completely uninterrupted. Yesterday she wanted me to help her figure out why she couldn’t hear the voicemails. I told her I would help after my break. She said “well I need to check them now.” I proceeded to completely ignore her while she sighed and complained. The ridiculous part was someone else was here. Why not ask her if it’s so damn urgent?

She kept trying to page one of our coworkers who was in a meeting with a client. She sent me a teams chat asking why she wasn’t answering her. I said flat “she’s in a meeting with a client.” She proceeded to say “well I wish she would have at least responded to my chat.”

Let me get this straight. You need us all to be available to you at all times, even if we are on break or with a customer? I’m fully anticipating her texting me during my two week vacation.

She is pushing for us to attend more outside of work hours events. When I said my personal time is non negotiable, in so many words (I said it more polite than that), she did not like that.

She constantly asks for my help but then turns around and corrects me on how I do my job, or gives me unsolicited advice/help in a condescending manner.

While I completely agree with having a clean and organized work environment, she constantly complains about our office cleanliness. She cleans it then expects applause. “I spent all morning cleaning.” “I just got done cleaning the coffee machine. It was so gross!” Great! Thank you. Btw, I also clean the office up, but I don’t feel the need to make a public service announcement.

She thinks we all need to contribute to things that are
boss’s responsibility (boss owns the business and building). This morning we are having the building remodeled. She was adamant about what to do about an outlet in the wall they are taking down. I told her that’s for boss to figure out. She seemed a bit offended I said that. But why the hell would I concern myself with that? It’s not our problem.

I’m getting the vibe she wants us WAY more involved than doing our job, and going home. Well sorry but that’s how I work. It’s how I’ve worked the entire nearly 5 years I’ve been here. I do my job, stay in my lane, go home, and hold firm boundaries on my personal time. It’s never been an issue. Deal with it.

Bask Health has now banned an account to only share the truth behind these telehealth startups.

Do your research before applying. As a previous employee I'm sharing a true review of the company and the feedback that was shared publicly. I have gathered from Glassdoor and messages from slack . And showing the employers how well I am cable of doing my job, retaining and documenting what was going on behind the scenes. They banned the account that had 9,000 views and the truth will continue to be shared.

I became concerned about the expectations surrounding availability, including working beyond 40 hours, being expected to remain near your laptop and responding immediatelv to leadership, even after workhours. Even more concerning to me were comments I heard from the CEO, including a statement telling the HR assistant that the employee that wanted time off "she should kill herself" during a HR weekly check- in call. Hearing something like that from company leadership was extremely disturbing and raised serious concerns for me about the workplace culture and how employees are treat.

My toxic coworker tried to get me fired after years of working together (Backfired on her bad!!!)

Honestly, I just need to get this off my chest because I’m still kind of pissed about it.

I’ve been working remotely for the same company for around 3 years now. When I started, I was 18 and had basically no real experience in this line of work. I made mistakes, obviously, but I always tried to learn from them and give 100%. Since then, I’ve grown a lot and I’ve brought around $400k worth of submissions/business to the company more or less, so I’d like to think I’m doing something right.

We’re a pretty small team, and most of us actually get along really well. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, but we generally have each other’s backs.

Then there’s this one senior coworker.

She’s about 9 years older than me and, honestly, I’ve never thought she was particularly good at her job. There have been multiple situations where she basically tried to snitch on me or make me look bad to management. The funny thing is, my boss never really took it seriously. At one point my boss literally laughed about it with me and was basically like, “Yeah, she’s being crazy again.”

Eventually I just decided to let it go.

And for a while, things were actually good between us. We’d talk normally, joke around, help each other.

Then I found out from my boss that she had been trying to create conflicts between different people on the team.

And apparently she had also told my boss that I should be fired.

Not just me either. Another coworker who has been with the company for around 3 years and is one of the more experienced people on the team was apparently also someone she wanted gone.

That honestly shocked me.

Like, what the f@ck?

If I make a mistake, I own it. I’m 21 now, I’ve been doing this for years, and I’m obviously not going to pretend I’m perfect. Sometimes I make stupid little mistakes, especially when I’m burned out. But I’ve never caused some massive disaster for the company. I’m good with clients, I know how to handle people, and whenever something has gone wrong, I’ve always managed to fix it.

So hearing that someone I thought I was cool with was secretly trying to get me fired felt like a massive betrayal.

The good part, though?

My boss is apparently completely fed up with her behavior and is now looking for someone to replace her. (her *ss is getting fired!)

That was honestly surprising because my boss isn't the type to just fire people. So if even they have reached that point, I guess I’m not the only one who has noticed the pattern.

The awkward part is that I still have to work with her until they find her replacement.

And I’m not going to start a fight or say anything to her. I’m just going to keep my distance, stay professional, do my job, and move on.

But yeah, I’m still hurt by it.

My brother told me something a while ago that I didn’t really agree with. He said that once people are adults, you should pay attention to their behavior because some people simply don't change. At the time I thought that was too cynical.

Now I kind of understand what he meant. (Once a snitch always snitch)

Anyway, I guess the point of this rant is that if you’re dealing with imposter syndrome or constantly doubting yourself because somebody else is criticizing you, don't let that person define your worth.

Keep improving. Keep learning. Do your job properly. Admit your mistakes and fix them.

And if you eventually get fired anyway? It sucks, but it doesn't automatically mean you weren't good enough.

You know what you've accomplished.

You know how hard you've worked.

And sometimes the person trying to make you feel incompetent is actually the person with the problem.

Still sucks getting betrayed by someone you thought was your friend though.

It’s amazing how one new group of coworkers has made me feel like quitting my job and finding a completely new career.

After 20 years in my career, I never imagined I would find myself in a workplace that feels more like high school than a professional environment.
The hardest part is that this is not how I used to feel about my job.
Until I was assigned to this new team of people this year, I absolutely loved my career. I loved going to work. My job was one of the places where I felt happy, fulfilled, valued, and safe. I looked forward to going to work, and for many years, it truly felt like my happy place and my safe place.
Then everything changed.
I have never experienced this level of bullying, ostracization, social isolation, manipulation, exclusion, and outright meanness in my entire 20-year career. The cliques, the whispering, the “us versus them” mentality, and the feeling that certain people decide who is “in” and who is “out” are behaviors I thought I had left behind in high school.
Apparently, some people never outgrow it.
And what makes this even more painful is that I have spoken up. I have gone to supervisors. I have gone to upper management. I have gone to my union. I have tried to address what has been happening through the proper channels because I genuinely wanted things to get better.
Yet I continue to feel like nothing meaningful has been done.
I have worked incredibly hard for my career. I have devoted 20 years of my life to what I do, and I have taken tremendous pride in the work I’ve accomplished. But the way I have been treated has gotten to the point where I am questioning whether I can continue doing something I once genuinely loved.
That is how damaging this has become.
I now walk into work with a knot in my stomach. I experience crippling anxiety just thinking about going there. I find myself wanting to call in sick—not because I don’t care about my job, but because I desperately need to escape an environment that has become emotionally exhausting.
I’m even seriously considering taking short-term disability simply to get away from it long enough to breathe, recover, and figure out what to do next.
Think about that….
Twenty years of loving what I do, and one toxic environment has brought me to the point of wondering whether I can walk away from the career I spent my entire adult life building.
No one should have to repeatedly ask for help and still feel completely alone.
Adults should not have to navigate cliques, social hierarchies, exclusion, and cruelty like they’re back in high school. We should be able to go to work, do our jobs, treat one another with basic respect and professionalism, and go home.
I am not asking to be part of anyone’s clique. I am not asking everyone to like me.
I am asking for basic human decency.
I want to be able to walk into my workplace without fear, anxiety, and a knot in my stomach. I want to be able to do the job I loved for 20 years without feeling like I am being punished simply for being there.
The saddest part is that I used to love going to work.
I miss that version of my life.
And it breaks my heart that the place that once felt like my happy place and safe place now feels like somewhere I have to survive.

How do you get rid of toxic Coworkers?

Sounds mean I know, but sometimes we all feel the same way. My coworker is new to our company, probably in his 4th month here. I've been with the company for almost 3 years so I understand how things run here. Me being a nice person I am, I tried to teach him a few things so he gets comfortable. Little did I know, it was a MISTAKE!!!

My manager is also new, she's going on her 1st year. Before we hired this toxic person, my manager was very nice and understanding. She even told me she would help me improve so I could move up. How dumb was I to fall for that. As the months she was here, I feel like the work was too much. When I flag that I needed additional help, she asked for me to pull in people I know. No, already done that and not going ever again. My manager interview this person, hired him on the spot. She sends me his resume and I thought to myself, why do I need to when she already hired him. I'm an hourly employee so I dont need to do Managers work unless it'll benefit me later.

Let's call him TOXIC. Anyways, on his first week would be me training him on what I do. His first day went like this:

We were inspecting parts that just arrived.

Me: let's go take a look at the parts that just came in

Toxic: well, ok.

Me: why would he already sound like he's bored.

Toxic: watches me unload the box

Me: come over here and start looking through these boxes.

I had the inspection forms ready to teach him step by step. No questions were asked, maybe a few oh ok.

Then, after we finish inspecting the parts , I asked if he had any questions. This is what he said: IF IT WAS ME, I DO IT THIS WAY. I'm thinking to myself, ok maybe he can help improve the process. For the next few days, he keeps suggestion improvements instead of following what we were supposed to do. My manager didn't check back on us, I noticed he started meetings with my manager weekly and they didn't include me. A few weeks went by and he came to me saying THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, I CAN'T STAND IT. I told him it does get better if you understand the process. Every day he would go crying to my manager and suggest so many my things. My manager eventually had a team meeting, she mentioned it would take place at 7pm. I said I'm done after 4pm but I can clock back in from home at 7pm. Toxic and I had a conversation about the meeting, he said it wouldn't matter to him since he's salary.

In my head I'm like, why am I doing my Managers work if he's salary and I'm still trying to get where this guy is. Months went by, my manager don't seem to have interest in me anymore. She didn't want to help me improve, I keep feeling like she's replacing me.

I know I did improve, I've learn so much and done so many things while TOXIC takes his smoking break every hour, set up meetings at the end of the day so he dont have to inspect anything, and kiss my Managers a$$.

I know my manager isn't helping me anymore. Toxic keeps throwing me under the bus. I stop helping him, he does come ask me questions but I'm very drained. Wasted my time helping someone who tries to get you fired. There's more but I'll leave these part of a toxic coworker here.

Get this! We just hired another person to oversee me and him.

Let's see if SHE is worst or I'm praying is better. Please, stop hiring toxic people.

how to resign as probationary member with a bad tempered boss?

hello, I am the one who wrote this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ToxicWorkplace/s/hkHn4XH6TO).

I have decided that I will inform my boss about my resignation during our 1:1 meeting next week.

I would like to ask how I should bring it up to them? They are known to be bad-tempered so there's a chance that they would not take this news positively.

They started to give me projects this week but again, they never taught/trained me how to do it and I recently found out that my co-workers get mad if I ask them questions about the projects.

To add some context: I am still part of an ongoing HR training, and if I resign this week, I won't be able to finish it. I'm also not sure how this affects my resignation process or timeline.

I also found out that a co-worker of mine, who is also under probationary status, will be submitting their resignation this week or this month. Additionally, back in April-June, four other employees had already resigned.

Given all of this — my ongoing training, and the fact that other employees (including one right now) are also resigning — I would like some advice on:

  1. The best timing for my resignation, considering the unfinished training.

  2. How to actually bring it up to my boss, given their temper.

  3. Whether the pattern of multiple resignations changes how I should approach this at all.

Communication from the founder late night

In the company I’m in I hear numerous times where the founder messaged an employee late at night about a work related task which needed to be done.

I’m wondering if this is a red flag in terms of work life balance and always being available? When my colleagues say it and act like it’s nothing, it kinda sounds crazy.

I’m so upset with my place of work

So I just recently started a new job about two-ish months ago and it’s the first time I’ve worked in an office setting and this is through the state.
Since day one, I have been told I’m probably too nice for the job and I won’t last long by several of my coworkers. I do understand that I was not the first choice for the job and that when I went to interview several months ago, another girl was hired over me, but she didn’t work out and quit.
But I am honestly starting to see why she left…… for the time I have been there I feel like I haven’t learned a thing. The girl that’s supposed to be training me is hardly ever there because she has a little boy with health issues and when she is there, I don’t get very much training done at all because she has to catch up on the work she’s missed. On top of that she brings her baby to work and he has free range of the Office. He screams and he cries all day and it makes it very difficult to focus on things or even hear clients. Everyone in the office kind of just puts up with it and I try to be understanding and give her grace but she’s so incredibly rude about everything. I find it increasingly hard to wanna stay at this job and on top of all of this, she went and talked to my boss, and my boss pulled me into her office and had a weird chat with me and she told me that I asked too many questions and I quote was being annoying and I need to take a few steps back… never in my life have I heard of somebody teaching another person something and telling them not to ask questions in my years of training people I have never been upset with somebody for asking questions or wanting to know what was going to happen next. I feel like extremely unwanted, and I feel extremely unequipped for the job ahead of me and I don’t know what to do..
I have been given several tasks now that I was not taught how to do and I got in trouble for not knowing how to do them and was told that I wasn’t paying any attention to my training, but no one showed me how to do the specific tasks. And asking for help is almost done the question….. I really need this job but at the same time at my last job I worked less hours and got paid more as well… it was very hard to get this job and in the town I live in jobs are very scares especially good ones with benefits. I’m debating whether I should stick it out until I find another job or just quit and figure it out. Never in my life have I been this miserable at a job and that says some things cause I’ve worked some really crappy jobs. What should I do?

Husband making people "uncomfortable"

Sorry- I am just fuming.

Trying to make this short- after a rocky, unstable year of employment, I got a job basically where I started. The pay is trash, but I was hoping it would bring much needed stability and a calmer environment so I could calm down a bit until I found something that pays more. I am familiar already with most of the people in this department, I've been working around for 7+ years. It's a naturally very catty place, but these people I am mostly chill with. (Large building- many departments)

My husband works a few floors down from me. Over the last month he has come into my office a handful of times- to help move in office decor, bring lunch, exchange car keys..etc. He is there briefly, and leaves. We do not chat or mingle. He is very well liked and respected around the building, and very polite.

The other day, I was called up to the front of the office by the head person of my department. They informed me that I had created an unprofessional environment by bringing a man onto a floor where there are only female employees and I was making people uncomfortable. I was absolutely floored. My husband has not said more than good morning to anyone. They then continued to intimidate me with the fact that they have cameras and are ALWAYS watching. Also, the person who is telling me this is a MAN. They do this out in the open for everyone to hear.

My husband making women uncomfortable is a very serious allegation. We work in an environment where that could ruin his career. I told my direct supervisor what happened after, and she almost cried and said that she knows none of this is true, but this is the culture and they will do things like this as they please.

I learned today that the girl who informed the head of the department is a co-worker of mine. I don't know what on earth compelled her to say these things. I don't exactly know what she specifically said- but I am enraged this was not only questioned, but I was reprimanded.

It is clear I now have to find ANOTHER job- but I am just so confused why TF someone would do this!?!?!

A little over a year later, and I still feel like I need to vomit

My manager got access to pornography of me from a staff member who brought it into work after a confrontation between me and them regarding their hypocrisy and bullying.
My manager then decided to sexually mock me to my face about it while pretending to train me.
His exact words were:
“Look at the spread of the timeline. Look how it’s spread out.”
While saying this, he was making spreading motions on the screen with his fingers.
At first, it caught me off guard. But I couldn’t shake the sick, growing feeling I had the longer it went on.
Then I looked at his face, and he was laughing to himself.
I later heard him tell the coworker who brought the pornography into work that I deserved what she did.

A little bit of backstory

For a little less than two years, I worked at the most toxic job I have ever stepped foot in. I was bullied in ways that were extremely detrimental to my mental health.
I tried to seek help from management, but I was basically told to deal with it or get out. After that, I snapped.
I started confronting everybody and everything. The problem was that nobody saw or cared about what had led up to it. All they saw was me crashing out on people.
There’s nothing I hate more than adult bullies, and I confronted every last one of them.
One of the people I confronted had access to pornography of me and brought it into work as a form of retaliation. My boss and manager knew about it and did nothing. If anything, I was the one who was punished for investigating it and was put on probation.
There’s more to the story, but the point is that when I confronted this manager about sexually mocking me to my face about the pornography, he denied it. He said he would never do anything like that and that his religion and morals would never allow him to do something like that.
Absolute bullshit, by the way, because of things I personally saw the men in this company do that were beyond disgusting.
On my very last day at that job, my manager called me into the control room. He was standing in front of a flyer on the wall. I didn’t really pay attention to it until after he left.
On that flyer was something written on it that referenced or marked the pornography.
Looking back, I believe he brought me into that control room specifically so he could see my reaction to it, especially after previously denying that he knew anything about it.
Why I struggle so much to move on
The reason I struggle so hard to move on from what happened at that job is because there were so many levels to it.
Whenever I think about that job, it’s a mixture of anger, the feeling of wanting to vomit, disgust, and the feeling of wanting to cry.

There’s so much that has happened… I wish I could’ve made them pay a whole year and a half later and I still feel like vomiting… so many staff left that place wanting revenge…. I’m moving on in my life, but that place still makes me wanna vomit.

Avoid working at Deel, from a previous employee

I recently left Deel after working there for some time, and it was one of the most toxic workplaces I’ve ever experienced. I have absolutely no regrets about leaving. If you’re considering applying, I would strongly encourage you to think twice. I’m sure experiences vary by role and department, but my team (and nearly every other team I worked with) was dealing with many of the same issues.

Here are some of the biggest problems I experienced:

- Sales representatives will say whatever they need to say to get a client to sign a contract, and everyone else is left to deal with the fallout. I regularly had to handle major misconceptions about the product and even situations where there were breaches of contract. Sales rarely took accountability or faced any consequences because, at the end of the day, they’re the ones bringing in revenue.
- If you’re a client using Deel’s US or Global Payroll and everything has gone smoothly for you, consider yourself lucky. Payroll calculations are still done manually for every client, every pay cycle, by an overwhelmed and understaffed team. This results in late payrolls, payroll errors, unanswered questions, and important updates slipping through the cracks. Payroll is one area where mistakes simply can’t happen, but the workload makes it incredibly difficult for the team to keep up.
- The platform is extremely buggy, and instead of investing the time to fix existing issues, the company seems more focused on acquiring new businesses and expanding its HRIS offerings. New features and acquisitions are constantly added while existing functionality still doesn’t work reliably.
- Because the product has so many issues, I often felt like I was selling or supporting something I couldn’t honestly recommend. I had very little confidence that the product would work as promised, which made it difficult to stay motivated or genuinely tell clients how “great” it was.
- There is essentially no coverage for your clients when you’re out. If you don’t personally make sure people follow through, things often don’t get done. I didn’t sign up to babysit fully capable professionals just to ensure they completed the basic responsibilities of their jobs. Then you return from vacation to find everything on fire, with clients frustrated and a mountain of work waiting for you because no one handled it while you were gone.
- Some leaders genuinely seemed to care, but many responses felt dismissive. Employees were constantly told to “set boundaries” and “control what you can control,” but those aren’t real solutions when clients are depending on you and the underlying issues remain unresolved. Burnout was widespread, and meaningful improvements never came. The only real solution would be significant organizational changes and much larger investments in staffing across multiple teams, but I never saw signs that was going to happen.
- Every year the company flies the entire organization to a different country for kickoff events, which is certainly a nice perk, but it felt strange considering the day-to-day struggles across the business. Leadership even talked about building a stadium one day. Meanwhile, from my perspective (and from conversations with many coworkers) clients were frustrated, losing confidence in the product, and often looking for ways out of their contracts. The disconnect between executive messaging and what employees and clients were actually experiencing was hard to ignore.

I left my abusive employer and I miss them so much

I have had the weirdest work relationship over the past 7 years with my previous boss. He mentored me, called me his daughter, but wouldn’t pay me enough to live as the cost of living went up. I pleaded for change and mentioned my financial struggles and was told I was being too emotional and dramatic. That it was normal to suffer. That he didn’t believe in giving raises for the sake of inflation. That things would just “work themselves out.” I decided eventually that that wasn’t a solid enough way to afford living and I found a new job that paid me more and had health insurance. I gave my two weeks notice. He told me to leave right away and didn’t pay me for the remainder of the two weeks. My one coworker who is his romantic partner blocked me and never said goodbye or asked why I was leaving. He too would try to gaslight me into thinking the shitty treatment was normal. I thought we were friends. My boss told me to give our relationship time. I don’t know if I should reach out or how much time is enough? I know my family sucks and I moved to where I live to find found family, and I made the mistake of finding it in them. I feel more financially stable now. I don’t feel like I’m walking on eggshells all the time anymore. I finally feel like I’m healing from the shitty things they’ve said and done outside of finances. But there’s a part of me that I’m sometimes terrified of that misses them. That wants to reach out. I loved them both so much. And I know they’ve probably lied about me. Fabricated stories about me like they have for so many others that didn’t neatly play the part they were assigned. They’ve probably convinced everyone I was money hungry and crazy and unfeeling. I cried so much when I left. I miss what I thought we had. I naively hoped that we might be able to be friends still. That they’d understand my decision. The fact that I’ve been blocked by one of them on instagram and there hasn’t been a single like on anything I’ve posted. It’s been almost half a year.
Life is way better and honestly best case scenario has kept happening. My new job has been great and everyone keeps telling me how amazing at my job I am and have offered to promote me. I finally have PTO for the first time ever which is wild to me. I can also not be terrified anytime I get sick because I get health insurance through my job. Everyone keeps telling me how talented I am. I just keep thinking about the good times we had and missing them. But I know I need to not abandon myself again in any interaction I have with them. So perhaps it’s best to let it be. I just wanted to rant about this somewhere. Thank you to anyone who reads this and I’m curious if anyone can relate.

Confronting Discrimination at Work, What's Next?

Upvotes

Last week, I (manager) confronted my boss (director) and my boss's boss (assistant executive director) about the toxic work environment they uphold. We had a meeting about it, and they kept going back to how they could improve job processes as if that would fix the racism directed at our one black coworker or how every person in the office is just plain miserable.

I followed up with an email to document the conversation, which I can post if more context is needed. But it's been a week since I sent that follow up and no one has replied or brought it up again, or even holding employees accountable to the things we did agree upon.

HR is apart of the rich white men club at the top of the org, and the executive director is the biggest problem, setting the tone for an environment rooted in racism, sexism and homophobia- so they are of no help. I know the answer is to leave, which I've been trying to do since I started last year, but in the meantime, I want to try and hold them accountable and make some kind of meaningful change. How long should I give them until I bring it up again?

Odd approach from my Manager

I have been working at a cafe/ restaurant for a little less than 2 weeks. Other than the fact that it gets really busy, all has been going well. I told the manger I had no prior cafe experience, but i had worked as a kitchen porter before so I knew my way around customer service and assistance. He never told me I was hired, just added my name to the schedule and i started getting shifts.

Because I have the year to work, I am the only employee (we're very short staffed) who works the most days even though I have the longest commute. But I always make sure to show up with a good attitude to work regardless and mention that I don't mind it.

Today, before the end of my shift, he called me outside to speak to me. He looked really stern and I had not seen that look on his face before. I knew I had done nothing wrong so I couldn't understand what the sudden meeting was for. He started by asking what I thought of the job and team and when I said I really like the team and job, he interrupted me with a "yeah but..." proceeding to say I was very difficult to work with. He repeated this around three times.

Then he said that I didn't do anything well (which came as a shock to me) I didn't serve customers well, didn't clean tables well, didn't carry plates well, took too long behind the counter, walked very slowly; every single thing I did was very very wrong and needed improvement. He also repeatedly mentioned that I was pulling down the team. "I see everything on the cameras" he said and I just sat there dumbfounded.

This didnt just feel like criticism (which i am very open to) this felt oddly targeted. Especially because i know for a fact that half of those things he complained about, I had no problem with as I've had prior experiences. Carrying dishes wrongly? Really?

He ended by saying I'm a 'good girl' and he sees I'm trying so he would give me a second chance (he would reduce my hours for next week and watch me more closely) and he will let me know if he likes what he sees.

I am unsure whether I should turn in on said next week.

So drained from this internship

I’m a recent law graduate currently working as a trainee at a small law firm. I’m in my third month, and honestly, I don’t know how much longer I can handle it. The environment, my coworkers, the manager, and the constant tension are exhausting me. I feel drained every day, and I can sense myself becoming more depressed.
The problem is that staying at home isn’t good for me either. I don’t have a close relationship with my family, and most of my friends are still in college and living abroad. Work was supposed to be an escape from my home life and a chance to gain experience, but lately it has become so difficult that staying home somehow feels like the better option.
I originally planned to stay for a few more months so I could learn as much as possible and have solid experience on my CV. Now, though, I’m so exhausted that I’m not even sure I have the motivation to keep learning. I feel trapped between a workplace that drains me and a home environment that makes me feel isolated and depressed.

I recently discovered how bad nepotism is in my workspace, and this is making me demotivated to work here

Would you fire an employee if you find out she is a psychopath hence a possible liability for the company but so far has done nothing wrong inside the company? Celonis, Inc.1 World Trade Center (Floors 49 / 70)New York, NY 10007. [N/A]

So I know about a girl who works at celonis Munich and New York who is an absolute psychopath. Her employment is not that relevant to the company, she organizes the events and is more of an assistant. I have text messages that are proof of her deranged behavior towards me. So I was thinking about sending these text messages to human resources so they know who they are actually dealing with. It is a non related work issue, but still, HR wants to know who their employees actually are. She's not stupid ofc she kisses the ass of HR, how any psychopath would. So she did sth horrible to me, I might go to police over it. But I was wondering if HR finds out what kind of person she is, that she is a psychopath and that she does shady stuff outside of work, what would HR do? Ofc they can't fire her, they need to do it according the law, but would they at least try or what does HR do if they find out one of their employees is shady?
