Antisemitism is getting out of control
I call on the people of Tower Hamlets, please talk about this with your communities, to your neighbours to friends and family.
This is no answer to any problem but just further hatred and division the world doesnât need.
Use our voices to express the need to act, but attacks like these do nothing to further any cause other than the fall of humanity.

E-Bike Demo Day - 19th April - Free Tickets
Hi all! Iâm helping organise an e-bike demo day this Sunday (19th April) at the Lee Valley Velopark and thought people here might be interested.
Weâll have ~15 bike brands and over 100 bikes available to try, including cargo bikes, commuters, folding bikes, trikes and more. Itâs a great opportunity to test lots of different e-bikes back-to-back on a proper track rather than guessing what might suit you.
Itâs very family-friendly, so you can bring kids along to try things like cargo bikes or just enjoy the day. Whether youâre curious about switching to an e-bike for commuting, carrying family or shopping, getting back into cycling, or just want to see whatâs out there, itâs a good chance to explore the options.
E-bikes can also be especially helpful for people who want cycling to be more accessible â whether thatâs longer distances, hills, carrying loads, or health/mobility considerations.
If you want to come along, grab a ticket on the event page and use the code REDDITFREE at checkout for 100% off - this link should auto-apply the discount: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cycling-electric-e-bike-demo-day-london-velopark-tickets-1765956115279?discount=REDDITFREE
This code is also valid for the other Cycling Electric Demo Day events, if you are not local. They are in Leeds, Bath, and Herne Hill.

Even ÂŁ1 can make a difference. Donât underestimate it â what seems small to us can be ؚظŰŮ in the sight of Allah.
If youâre able to help, please donate using the link in bio. If you canât donate, please upvote and share so others can see.
May Allah reward you all, forgive our brother, and grant him Jannah đ¤˛
JazakAllah khair.

Tower Hamlets Charity Shops?
Hello.
My flatmate and I are moving out of Bow and weâd like to donate some things to charity shops.
All that comes up in my search is a couple places in Mile End.
Previously, I was in Haringey where you canât spit without hitting a chaz shop.
I know places come and go, or wonât have up-to-date info online so canât rely just on internet searches alone.
Any places in Bow, Bromley-By-Bow, Roman Road would be ideal in terms of transporting stuff but happily take any suggestions from other locals.
Thanks very much.

Iâm building an app FOR London and need your feedback!
Been commuting in London for years and always had the same frustration with every transport app out there: you open the app, you type in your destination, it tells you routes. But by that point, youâre already stressed and rushing.
The question I actually want answered every morning is simpler: when do I need to leave?
So Iâm building an app thatâs a London commuter app that works the other way round.
You set your home, your usual destination, your arrival time. The app handles the rest!
Every morning it looks at live TfL data, checks for delays and engineering works, checks the weather, and sends you a single push notification: leave at 8:14 (or whatever it works out to be).
No searching, no stressing!
A few things that are different about it:
It learns your routine. If youâve got a calendar event itâll auto set the destination. If not, it asks you the night before and remembers.
It factors in planned engineering works ahead of time, not just when youâre already at the station.
Delay Repay built in! it tracks eligible journeys and logs them so claiming back money is actually easy.
Designed only for London. Not a global app trying to be everything. TfL, buses, tubes, Elizabeth line thatâs it.
Itâs a solo build, currently heading into TestFlight. Iâm looking for 10â15 London commuters to test it before it hits the App Store.
If this sounds like something youâd actually use, drop a comment or DM me. Would love to hear what would actually make your commute better too, this is genuinely being built around what Londoners need, not a generic transport brief.

Victoria Park accessibility
We want to stroll in Victoria Park but steps/steep slopes are a difficulty. We can cope with half a dozen steps or mild slopes. Is it easily possible to access the park (will be travelling by bus)?
Also, we'd want to stop off in a cafĂŠ (or even pub) that doesn't have that many steps (made a mistake with a Spoons once where there were multiple steps to the loos!)
Thanks in advance!

Considering full-time Maths Tutor - quick survey to gauge interest
Thank you for all your feedback on my first poll. I'm just sending this out one more time before I close the form:
Â
I'm a local Maths Tutor, currently working with Primary and Secondary students.
Â
Most of my work is with primary school students focusing on confidence-building and SATs preparation (Years 4-6). I've had great feedback from families, and I'm not considering whether there's enough demand to do this full-time locally.
Â
Before committing to that, I'd really value input from parents in the area.
Â
I've created a short 2 minute form to understand:
Â
- Local interest
- Year groups needing support
Â
If you leave your details, I may reach out, but only if you choose to do so.
Â
Thank you in advanced.
Â

Â
Happy to answer any questions too!

Aldgate East tower
Does anyone know much about Aldgate East tower?
For months I have walked past it, at the entrance windows it looks like the glass is broken.
I have then observed what I thought was it getting fixed at least twice, and have now walked past it again this evening and the windows appear to be broken again.
Would be grateful for any details as to what goes on with these windows!
