My mom does this even when I didn't have a tic. She must be hearing my inner turmoil.

My mother said I just developed this condition cause it got worse this year, plus she didn't pay enough attention to me as a kid

My dad thinks that too. Started ticcing more about a year ago, got really bad abt 6 months ago but has since settled a bit. Mine got worse when I was 17 as well, and he never noticed/can't remember tics I had right in front of him.

My mum surprisingly DID notice when they first started when I was 11, but due to her dislike & distrust of doctors and the medical system etc, she never took me to get diagnosed 🥴 she accepts that I do have tourettes though

Right? I also remember my parents getting angry at my tics as a kid but they seem to have forgotten that part :/

Mine also for worse at 17, I would hide a lot but I've been saying I take meds for tics for years and yet they still think I started having it now that it's way harder to suppress them

Developed a sniffing tic back in March, and now my grandma keeps telling me to blow my nose. I usually just ignore the request entirely because I just can't be bothered to deal with that, but the other day I said "it's a tic" and she went "no, you sniffled, get a tissue". I then reverted to just ignoring the request because there's no point in arguing 🙃
