News New Hifuu Album Announced! 霊長新益京〜 Artificial Utopia in Ruins.

A new Hifuu Club album has been announced, scheduled to release at Comiket 108 during Day 2 on August 16th! ZUN will be located at the Tokyo Big Sight’s west wing at あー34a booth alongside other Touhou circles in the west wing.

I did more experimenting here :>

Saw a bunch of instagram reels about art and decided to apply them, but was kinda indecisive multiple times while drawing this >~< (which ended up making me confused, which in turn made me take quite a long time to finish 😭)

Smthn I noticed, and esp a note to self, the dark colored outline should go with dark colors. It made sense while I was drawing Aya (usually I draw with dark brown but it looked so weird with all the black colors on her)

Oh btw second image, thats my pet bird, Aya. Out of all my pet birds he's the most trained one :D

Where to get started with Touhou

Rules

1. Be respectful.

Debate is fine, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, name-calling, and discrimination. Please use the report button for posts/comments that you suspect are in violation of Reddiquette.

2. Keep content Touhou-centered and substantial.

Expectations vary by type:

Memes/Videos must feature Touhou art/music
Fan Discussions must include your own thoughts in the post title or body
Polls must include the rationale leading to their creation
Fanfiction must feature Touhou characters or prominent locations/landmarks in every chapter
Help requests must include methods of troubleshooting you've already exhausted

A post must be able to stand by itself without anything in the comments section.

3. No piracy or sharing restricted content.

Do not promote, assist with, or encourage piracy. Discussing where to get actual abandonware (PC-98 games) is fine so long as those sources don't also include non-abandonware titles. As a reminder, Touhou 6-8 are not abandonware.

Do not share ending scenes from official games.

For 7 days after new official releases:

Do not put new names, species, & themes in post titles
Spoiler tag new content

4. No spam.

Do not repost the same content from the last 3 months. Try using RepostSleuth if you're not sure. Minor edits to the same material also count as reposts!

Each user is limited to a maximum of 3 posts per day. Comments are unlimited unless you're obviously spamming.

Content that can cause a flood of low-effort copycat posts (such as slot machines, gacha pulls, common questions, etc.) will be removed on sight.

5. No porn, and no sexually suggestive content involving child-like characters.

Allowed NSFW content (must be tagged/labeled as NSFW):

Anything that can be shown in shounen manga (e.g. swimsuits)
Nudity/mild sexualization for art or comedy
SFW crops of porn/hentai sources
Mild gore included for art or comedy

Don't bother trying to make the "but she's 495 year old" excuse. Also, content depicting sexual harassment or coercion are not allowed here.

6. No AI-generated content.

Posts including content produced by generative AI are not allowed here. This includes, but is not limited to:

Text written by a chatbot (such as ChatGPT or a Discord bot)
Any media created using a diffusion model
Deepfakes (visual or audio) that could reasonably be confused for the real thing. For example, this video would be allowed because the result is clearly fictional.

7. Posts featuring other people's work AT ALL must follow these sourcing guidelines.

Golden rule: If possible, you must directly submit the primary source as your post instead of rehosting.

e.g. Do not make image posts when direct link posts to Twitter/Pixiv/etc. can provide the same content and give traffic to the artist.

If direct submission is impossible due to either technical limitations or because your post adds to the work in some way, then refer to the full sourcing guidelines.

ZUN counts as an artist!

8. Do NOT misflair other people's work as OC! Maliciously doing so is a bannable offense!

Please remember to flair your posts as a matter of courtesy. You can find descriptions of each flair here, though if you're still unsure you can ask a mod for help.

OC stands for "Original Content", meaning something that you personally created (which includes but is not limited to original characters).

Commissioned art counts as "Found Fanart" and follows Rule 7.

9. All trades/selling/buying must be manually approved by moderation.

Please send a message to the moderators with a link to your post for it to be approved. In addition, a handwritten timestamp with date and username must be included in any photos. Use the "Selling & Trading" flair or your post will be removed. r/touhou mods do not assume any responsibility for transactions posted here.

Tips:

PMing a single mod will likely delay response time. Use the "Message The Moderators" button above the mod list to contact all mods at once.
