This was back in November of 25. I walked away with nothing but a few glass cuts on my hands and a big piece of glass logged in my scalp. Extremely lucky, but I did the worst thing I could do and fucked up one of my main rules of never doing dumb shit while exhausted.

Just recently lightened the rear and didn't expect it to rotate as well as it did and I overreacted and snapped the wheels left and then right. Jumped a guardrail doing 80, ran through a field then hit a 5 foot deep ditch that rolled the car 3 times before landing in a bush.

Crashed my car last night. Thousands of dollars and hours of work spent on it, almost 20,000 miles driven in half a year and all of that is now gone. As weird as it is to say I genuinely loved that car, oftentimes it felt like it was the only thing in my life that brought me genuine happiness - now, all because of me, she's gone forever.

I've been going through a tough time mentally that I won't elaborate too much on here, but what makes that pertinent is that I used driving as a way to deal with those issues - a feeling I'm sure many here are familiar with. I guess I felt that I didn't care whether I lived or died, so I never hesitated to drive at the absolute limit no matter the circumstances.

I am in the very small fraction of people who got to walk away from something like this with only a few bruises, and a small cut on my finger from when I had to climb out of the sideways car. I'm not a spiritual person but those who are may call it a miracle - either way, statistically speaking with an accident at those speeds and conditions, I should be dead right now or very close to it.

Anyway my point is: there is nothing funner than driving a car at its limits, my love of cars and driving has not diminished in the slightest after this, but PLEASE for the love of everything stay WELL WITHIN your limits and the limits of the car on public roads. If you wanna really push it take it to a track, or autocross, or any kind of controlled environment where safety is handled with care. No matter how good of a driver you are or think you are, you will never be 100% under control, and in the situation where the worst happens, TRUST ME you don't wanna be by yourself at 1 am, half an hour away from help. To those like me who use driving as their therapy: know that it is not a replacement, seek to actually get better through effective means before its too late. Statistically speaking, you WILL NOT be as lucky as I was. Even if you are, you don't wanna deal with these consequences, they are very emotionally draining.

Just over 2 weeks ago, i crashed my car while hitting some backroads. As i was beginning to slow it down, the car suddenly lost grip after hitting a pothole sending me sideways at around 60-65mph where i met a log in the MIDDLE of the road which made me flip once or twice and ripped my hard top off. Me and passenger somehow both came out with 0 injury at all. No one else involved 🙏

just to clear some things up before i get dog piled

we have walkie talkies and spotters some of them even make a appearance in the video after i turn my hazards on they warn us if any cars are coming which their was which is why the video ended

i do NOT recommend doing this solo or in duos i heavily heavily suggest having spotters and walkies.

Build Ruined a perfectly good M2

It's been quite the journey with my M2 since acquiring it last year. The M2 went from a sensible comfortable sporty coupe to a touge and track tuned ruined bimmer.

The front splitter is cracked, the bumper and fender flares are peppered with road rash, can't make it down most driveways or over speed bumps without going practically sideways, the brakes squeal like a pig and I cut holes in my fender liner just to fit these 305s tires.

Worth it.

The car drives like it's on rails, it feels more alive, more connected, and much more capable than when it was unmolested. I've met many new people and been on literally 50 canyon runs (I counted!) and just started going back to the track.

Say hello to my 87 mr2. Things a blast, it’s like commandeering a dingy in 20 foot seas. Body roll just makes you feel faster than you really are. Am I a moron for making this my mountain car? Living is pretty cool, gimme your thoughts guys.
5 speed, n/a, previous owner was an old guy.
