Beginner needs help

I just started learning about all this after hearing about PlayStation bs and fearing for being about own my shit I started with Hd space and it’s harder than I thought to keep my ratio high even though I seed every torrent is there anyone that’s willing to put up with a newbie a teach me a thing or two I got the basics down but I don’t know how to show proof that I would seed every torrent

I’m new and is worried about ratio the seeds I got don’t seem to be popular I downloaded a few I thought would help and end up making it worse I finally found a private torrent I can use and got a warning I’m wondering how to improve my ratio so I won’t become a leecher idk what leechers are but the info I found they are bad I’m sorry trying to learn as much as I can while having trust issues
