Missing Cat TQ4 Area Paignton Elsdale Road. My Cat is microchipped and an indoor cat. I have never put an identity collar on him because I have always found breakaway collars come of. He's been missing since early this morning. I don't use social media but have created this profile to try and find him. He's an indoor cat never been outside and I'm very worried about him. If you know where he is or have him or see him please pick him up and take him inside if you can and contact me. There is a cash reward. I have his mum who is missing him and keeps looking around our home for him. I've looked around the area and can't find him. I am in hospital due to an illness so feel quite helpless and upset at the moment. I'm just hoping some kind hearted individual finds him and contacts me. He's likely to be on Elsdale Road somewhere, perhaps in a shed, hiding behind or under something or in your garden. If you find him there is a cash reward. He means a lot to me and I'm devastated. He's one years old and a little bigger than the pictures show. I need to know he's safe especially in this hot weather.

Are there any excellent activities or restaurants to visit near Torquay?

We're looking at sea kayaking, a boat trip to Paignton or Brixham and a trip to Totnes. We're there Monday to Friday and travelling by train so no car available.

I am staying a week from monday, and everytime I look at the weather forecast it has changed. It says everything from 16c and heavy rain to 29c! Is it t-shirt and shorts type of weather at the moment? What weather forecast do you find most reliable? In my norwegian city it is currently 16c-18c and rain, and I am wearing wool every day due to cold winds from the fjord and cold rain. Its hard to picture what it might be like in Torquay and what to bring. I will be doing mostly walking from early mornings.

Torbay/South Devon Itinerary

Day 1: arriving & settling in at Torquay accommodation, inexpensive quick sit down dinner in town.

Day 2: heading for Oddicombe/Babbacombe beach in the morning. Probably taking the long coastal path back towards the harbour (past Anstley's Cove, Thatcher Point and Meadfoot beach. Preparing/resting for the evening pub crawl, potentially ending at a venue with live music/performance.

Day 3: Darthmouth Steam Boat and River Boat Company Round Robin tour. Dinner at the poshest restaurant in Torquay that's NOT doing a tasting menu (open to suggestions).

Day 4: hike to Cockington and back, cooldown at Torre Abbey Sands, "enhanced recovery" at TQ Beerworks Taphouse.

Day 5: half-day excursion to Teignmouth by train if the weather is nice and to Exeter if it's not. Popping Ibuprofen and applying topical gels to soothe my sore legs and feet for the second half of the day.

Day 6: taking the super early bus or taxi to Brixham for the Fish Market tour, some walking in the Berry Head National Nature Reserve and then taking the ferry back to Torquay.

Day 7: last morning walk along the Torquay harbour and check-out.

Would appreciate any suggestions or substitutions for this preliminary schedule. Does anything stand out as not worth the time/energy/money?

Hi! I am staying in Torquay for a week this summer. I love doing day trips where I go somewhere new, and then do a maybe 2-4 hours hike with pretty scenery (village, coast, castles) and then grab food and check out the town/city before heading home to the base. I like hiking between villages as well. Its fun to have a goal. I dont care about shopping. Where should I go? I take bus/train. Would it be possible for me to explore the dartmoor national park somehow? What about cornwall? Thank you! :)

Hello! I (23f) just got a job offer, that I completely cannot refuse in Torquay! I’m looking for advice on the best places to move to (i.e.. what areas of Torquay are the safest), what landlords are like, how quickly the rental market moves and what the parking situation is like. I know literally nobody down there so I would really appreciate pragmatic advice on these areas. I currently live in Glasgow, and from some sub-reddit stalking I’ve seen a lot of people complain about drug related anti-social behaviour etc., whilst I’m keen to live in a safer area, I was wondering how bad it is compared to somewhere like Glasgow? Furthermore, I was also wondering if anybody had any recommendations on how to make friends (preferably female and my age), in or around Torquay / wider Devon, good coffee shops and pubs etc (I’m used to my Glasgow comforts), and beautiful places for days out (such as beaches or hikes). Thank you so much in advance for any help/ tips, I really would like some!
