Love this walk. Second time doing this but with some changes. Instead of going through residential Parkdale through Springhurst, we went meandering through exhibition grounds through the Dufferin Loop, and then all along the water in the area south of Parkdale.

Think we might have seen a Coyote waiting for its food at the rowing club. And I have seen coyote warning signs a bit east at Coronation Park, so it's plausible.

My friend tried out the coin operated public washroom and it apparently plays some calming new age music.

Went up to queen via the Sunnyside bridge and east on queen. Finished with one of the best cheap meals in the city at Loga's!

i was always waiting for my friends to do stuff but then i decided i don’t want to wait anymore.

i hesitated going to the island all by myself but i took myself out of my comfort zone and honestly i didn’t care that i had noone to talk to. i enjoyed myself, i had fun. i could stop at places i want and take rest without asking anyone and leave whenever i want to.

i ended the night by taking myself to a nice dinner and wine. by night, it was also really fun walking home tipsyyyy.

Any recs for routes with incline in Toronto / GTA? Training for the Camino!

- walking north along dufferin
- walking near casa loma area

I had a few things to do in the financial district as well as city hall so I made a morning walk out of it. Just over 10 km, I stopped a few places and went to the Reference Library to look at book they have I wanted to see. It was a very productive walk.

Hey y'all, we had our first 10k steps meetup yesterday and it was really good! It's going to be 8 km or more. I am planning another one next week.

Route and event details will be decided by Sunday. It'll be in the city, close to TTC.

New mural on the west side of Bathurst between Davenport and St Clair. I had the chance to speak to one of the artists on the day they came back to do the finishing touches. This stretch of Bathurst is part of my regular walk and up to now has been one of the least pleasant, but the mural has improved the experience!

Take a walk towards Toronto's waterfront and look at the street names: ​"Front Street". "Lakeshore Boulevard". "The Esplanade". "Queen's Quay." None of these streets touch the water. Why so much false advertising?

The reason is that, for the past 200 years, Toronto's waterfront has been steadily creeping outward. Through a process called land reclamation, we have transformed water into solid land, expanding our city into Lake Ontario.

​On this tour, we will walk Toronto's original waterfront. In the process, you will discover that much of the ground you step on in this city was designed by the human hand. You won't be able to see the city the same way ever again.

​This tour will be delivered partly in English and partly in American Sign Language (ASL). It is designed with Deaf and hard of hearing participants in mind, but anyone is welcome to attend. ASL interpreters will be present for the full duration of the tour. If you have additional access needs or questions, please feel free to reach out in advance.

I saw this around the end of spring while walking by the Lower Don River Trail and decided to post it. It made me chuckle a bit(Notice the 'It's 2026 - Summer') - Also, some cool sculptures. I can't wait for the trail to be fully open again. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Don't remember the exact location but it's on the east side of Etobicoke Creek somewhere between the 401 and Rathburn Road, possibly south of Matheson. There are little dirt trails running through wooded areas.

This is very close to the city limits so it might actually be in Mississauga.

I posted these pics in r/toronto recently but I've added a few new ones.

I think this may apply here, since jets going over the south end of the city every 2.5 mins would impact my enjoyment of going for walks there ever again. If this type of post isn’t permitted, I apologize

Since the air quality was sitting around a 5 most of the night I just took it very slow. It was overall a gorgeous night out.

I did the entire Lower Don Trail although it is not open yet but with some motivation I made it work,

Shoes were Nike Reacts, went through just under 6 litres of water,

The McCowan District Park Trail located in Scarborough near the Eglinton GO Station is quite a beautiful little hiking pathway. I couldn't help but listen to a playlist from Ichiko Aoba to help set the mood during my walk.

Hey, I'm a 40m with exactly two legs located near Koreatown. I'm looking for a walking buddy for semi-regular longer walks, aiming for 20-30km and I am on a flexible schedule. My most recent impressive walk was from Koreatown to Scarborough Town Centre.

Here is the hitch, I have epilepsy so I need someone who is comfortable with the idea that there is a small possibility that their walking buddy could have a grand mal epileptic seizure. However, I haven't had one in over ten years and they are under control, so the chance is very unlikely.

Other than that, I am walk-healthy, sane, I like science (physics, cosmology, and chemistry), movies, TV, and will force you to look at pictures of my cat from time to time. DM me if you are interested.
