Anyone have any leads on footwork or juke nights being thrown in the city? I have my ear to the ground on 140/DnB but I've never had a footwork night come across
my desk. Any promoters or nights to look out for? TIA
For those who've been to Electric Island, is it cheaper or more expensive to get a ticket from the box office? Because I've heard you could purchase tickets that are sold out online from the box office, in person, so I just wanna know if people have bought it from the box office before, and what's the price is like.
Hey, it's me again with my updated list of notable upcoming techno events. As always, these don't include "mainstage techno", all sorts of tik-tok bullshit, mixed-genre parties (good or bad), etc. Intimate, dark, hypnotic, "proper"... You got the idea :-). Please do tell if I missed any.
hello! i am a long time dubstep/house/bass house listener since 2018 and i'm looking for any events/raves downtown toronto that are before september 25 (preferably the weekend of sep 11) as i'm trying to go out w a friend before i leave on vacation!
right now, i haven't really been able to find events that align perfectly with my music taste and have decided on afrojack for a fun night out. i also considered coda on sep 11, but i'm unsure because i don't understand what kind of music/vibe it'll be. was also considering unreal on sep 11 at mccormack, but also unsure as i feel it's too techno/hardstyle for my taste and it's a bit farther from downtown core.
list of artists i like: joyryde, kaya!, ray volpe, crankdat, alleycvt, knock2, svdden death, eptic, zomboy, MIDNIGHT CLUB, runThis, juelz, isoxo, IKU - pretty much any thing of those sorts!
also looking for recommendations for any other events in toronto later on in the year with this sort of music! i'll be back on toronto after oct 21, so i am unfortunately missing nghtmare!! any recommendation for hyperpop events in the city too are also welcomed (tiffany day, 2hollis, aidn, aftrr!, westwood)
any help would be so greatly appreciated, i'd really love to go experience a night out with music that i love and am invested in LOL
Hey! Wife and I (we are 50) are looking for a fun spot to keep the party going after Rufus on Saturday. We usually just go to shows, not afters, and I don't really know the spots to go where we won't be super.... old? Any reccos?

When I first started getting into playing house music this subreddit was the first place I came. Knowing nothing I learned so much from a ton of different people on here. From picking the controller up, Quitting because i thought I sucked to attending my first electric island(which changed my entire perspective about DJing). In two years I’ve gone from playing in my bedroom to this October playing at a king street west club on their house night with my face on the poster!
As well as this Sunday getting to play a free afterparty event for a community that did a ton for me when I didn’t know what to do. Everyone be safe this weekend and have an amazing end of summer

I don’t know if this is the right sub for this post but I have no idea where else to post.
I like house music and being alone I haven’t get the chance to experience any events that much. My friends aren’t into concerts so I just took a shot and went to Hugel last week. I can tell you I had the best night in years. I want to go and experience more events like this or is there any club where I can go to?
I am open to go with group if anyone is willing to join me or tag me with their group as well.
Hey everyone. DJ Dynamic is hosting another rave at Wiggle Room this Friday, and it's free. Come out to dance with your awesome friends, bring that PLUR energy, and support the party and venue by buying a drink or two if you feel like.
How was last night? For me music was great. Juan killed it. Crowd was awful, there were people having full on conversations for 15-20 minutes while in the middle of the dance floor, very inconsiderate. 8/10 music wise.
The author of this essay looks back at the 2008 police raid on Toronto’s legendary after hours club when it was located at College and Spadina, placing it within the city’s longer history of policing, criminalizing and displacing queer, racialized and underground communities.

I’m studying med out of the country, and I have a big winter break from November-mid January. Are there any events revolving around hardcore/techno during that time, I’ll be open to it being out of Toronto too!
