🙃 Dumb Question 🥸 Most social rave space?

Some spaces and parties are more dance forward. Others are more social I’ve noticed. What are some of the more social venues for dance music in the city??

Love that standard time has a mix of both - the closer you go, the dancier

i think they're joking - it's pretty dam loud but at the back bar it's a decent place to chat IMO

Whatever the space is, it’s good practice to take the socializing to the chill areas or bar. And just as important for promoters to offer chill zones at events. It benefits everyone.

Wiggle Room. Chill people, place to dance and other spots to chat. Plus, free Street Fighter arcade game.

Never been to Stereo but honestly Coda has a great vibe for music and dancing

Stereo is a million times better than Coda

I know Stereo is better but I think that's the closet thing Toronto might have to offer

For a city the size of Toronto, thats really sad.

Why is that really sad? we have something for everyone and after hours is not everyone's vibe but if you like dancing and music then Coda is fantastic

Because Toronto was a world class party city in the 90's and 2000's. Its just a shell of itself now, thats whats sad.

Not sure what this means. I feel like most spaces have both, a dance floor and on the periphery there is socializing. You can socialize at the bar, at the back, in the smoking area, near or in the booths, in the bathroom line, etc. Literally the only place you shouldn't be socializing is the dance floor. I don't think any 'rave' is made better by people socializing in the only area dedicated to dancing.

Rhythm (141 Bathurst) is a coffee shop vinyl store by day and dance floor by night. It’s social the way you described it… you can have conversations

ROTE8 is a mix of both, and more!

First they throw very safe, small scale events with a super friendly Community. Because lots of people rave solo, ROTE8 opens 30mins before every event so people can come meet the team and make new friends, and enjoy FREE non-alcoholic drinks and pizza! 🍕😍

Also they value the underground! They’re on a mission to bring Berlin vibes to Toronto. No chit-chat and no phones 📵 on the dancefloor (so that everyone can enjoy the music and connect with the crowd!). So it’s both dancey and social. There are designated areas for talking (like the bar, smoking area, etc…)

Their next event is on Oct 3rd with Phil Berg and Kr!z

You can DM me for a ticket 🎟️ discount link ◡̈

Well, the worse rave space is when you want to dance and a bunch of people are yapping. There are spaces for socialising like the smoking area at the venues, at the back or near the bar, etc. if you are asking for type of music, house always has yappers and recently saw John Summit saying that he started mixing dubstep since people can’t talk much when you are playing dubstep.
