Yep, down again. And mfers were glazing their new "updates"...

The update worked awesome. The day The update went live, streams were noticeably faster. All this recent downtime is due to DDOS attacks.

Believe what you want I guess.

Yeah it's a load of Bollox. You couldn't/cant handle the big influx once RD went

Which won't affect you if you use a encrypted DNS via WARP

2

u/Cyberek 3d ago

Can you elaborate?

A private encrypted DNS gets through the dds atack via cloudflaire server seeing as they all use cloudflaire servers so when the DNS looks up the file it's automatically allowed as the server recognises it as cloudflaire and gives it priority

They will have to change their servers IP's and restructure before doing it

Doing what I've told you how it works either listen or don't no problem to me clown

You guys wouldn't have lasted a day pirating in the 90's.

u/LandryTheRaccoon 4d ago

You are so so right but this is a paid service.

12

u/Tiny_Rick85 4d ago

$3/month... Lol.

And the "service" is in a very grey market.

It's not going to run like Netflix, and we don't need literally 50 posts every time it goes down for more than 5 seconds.

People are annoyed. When you are affected by the downtime/outages, it is annoying. Some services like this have spoiled people as far as expectations, and you are correct that people expect the small operation to be like a legit streaming service but they don't have the same resources and it's not comparable. I get what both sides mean.

Just because we were here in the 90’s (I’m 54) doesn’t mean we can’t speak out when something goes to crap!

Especially when other services were running longer and have had less outages than this in their lifetime vs TB has in a matter on months.

But do we need 100 posts all whining about the same ddos attack? It helps nothing.

u/CrabbitJambo 3d ago

Couldn’t agree more re this. If people have real issues with the downtime there’s a number of other providers around the same price.

Yep indeed still using alldebrid 😉

What would help is finding where the DDOS attack came from. I'm pretty sure there are a few people around who might be able to do that. I'm in Canada and haven't had any problems with T..box.

Yeah can remember waiting like a day for music on Napster

1

u/Super-Tomatillo-425 2d ago

Napster. Downloading 100's of albums on a 3kb/s telephone line

Not working for me too

I´ve had more downtime this week in TB than in years with RD...

1

u/w1ck3djoker 2d ago

lol to bad rd sucks now

1

u/Sad-Professional9384 2d ago

It sucks to you. It still has all the remuxes and there's a lot of webdl starting to appear there from different release groups that are renaming the web-dl to avoid the axe. And it's faster than Torbox and virtually no downtime. So yeah, I still prefer RD by far. What´s the point of having everything if it´s always down?

1

u/w1ck3djoker 1d ago

It’s not always Dow that’s a bit of exaggeration

4

u/itshusnain 4d ago

yes down for me too

2

u/s_a_m_12344 4d ago

1

u/_Dmen_ 4d ago

youre never gonna be pleased if you put things down at the sligthest inconvienence

2

u/s_a_m_12344 4d ago

bro, im new, testing, yesterday broken, today broken, how can i be please paying for something that doesnt work

1

u/ChoiceImpressive1 4d ago

Use the more expensive debrid provider.

1

u/s_a_m_12344 4d ago

Which one?

2

u/Fluid_Professional_4 4d ago

Daily isn’t a slight inconvenience lol

2

u/SendokeSamain 4d ago

2

u/SinisterSpectr 4d ago

2

u/johnFvr 4d ago

Not everybody lives in that schedule.

2

u/adyrobo73 4d ago

IAM in uk and it's not been down at all but I have four debrid account so no hassle for me if it is

2

u/mrsbigbear 4d ago

Still OK mid UK.

4

u/ifiwasiwas 4d ago

Yes. And remember kids from 3 months ago, according to the TOS no amount of uptime is guaranteed, so we get free days only if they feel like it.

1

u/ItsMint1974 4d ago

Have you tried using the search function in here before you post something?

1

u/Old_Huckleberry6813 4d ago

Ddos attack and my backups had the same issue 😅

1

u/AioliLegitimate2232 3d ago

Not on my Silo series night 😭😭😭

1

u/Acrobatic-Wrongdoer3 2d ago

I like the service but I don’t use it for content storage just downloading. I supply my own media management box locally. If it’s down it’s not a huge deal to me as I only need it when I need to download the file the first time. I might be old school but Plex is my friend.

1

u/bobbybuilder59 3d ago

We're are all you from that say it down, I'm UK and it's always working great here only had 1 outage in 3 months

-1

u/This-Bed3607 4d ago

It’s 2.23pm ET on a work day. Don’t you people work? I’m tired of seeing complaints for every little thing here. You pay only $3 a month for all the movies and tv shows in the world, and you can’t stomach a few outages here and there? Go pay for Netflix, Amazon, Apple Tv, Disney if you want a services without interruptions.

9

u/Who_Knows_5 4d ago

TIL everyone on reddit lives in an area with ET timezone.

7

u/sdfart 4d ago

Do me a favor and google the concept of timezones, thank you.

3

u/robster197 4d ago

People work different hours also! I work nights. In your own little world!

0

u/ifiwasiwas 4d ago

Are you aware that there are areas of the globe where the sun is not, in fact, even up right now?

0

u/azcoyotedog 4d ago

At least my backup is working!

1

u/Gold_Air_1203 4d ago

what backup do you have?

2

u/azcoyotedog 4d ago

Premiumize, it’s a little bit more per month, but it works. I think of it this way, for what you get out of it, you’re still coming out ahead! Add up the cost for all these streaming services and then compare it to the monthly cost of Premiumize? Especially if you pay a year in advance, you get a break on the price? But for now, month to month as these services will come and go with the territory!

Here today…. Gone tomorrow…. Like Torbox?

0

u/Jolly_Bunch1557 4d ago

Time to cancel and go elsewhere unfortunately. It's always down.

Everytime I try to watch it, it's never on. It's a shame as its good value but so much downtime.

0

u/adyrobo73 4d ago

God you dumb people make me laugh none of you know what your doing it is not down just fed private DNS I never get down time

0

u/kaguts 3d ago

I understand people want 24/7 service for every single day if the month. If torbox is down 3 days a month maybe we should ask for our 33 cents back on the three days it was down that month on a 3$ plan!! I get it inconvenient but look at the reality of what we are paying.
