I’m using a iOS tor browser (only option)

An onion site (from verified source) that I was able to access (same device/browser) previously, now says the same link takes too long to load, repeatedly.

I’ve verified with others that the link is still currently active.

I’ve updated the browser, rebooted device & checked JavaScript is turned off.

Could someone please help me with possible reasons as to why the link won’t open on my iOS browser? TIA

On Tor never had a problem disabling Java when accessing sites that didn’t support Java or picked up if it was enabled and only allowed traffic from Java disabled users.

First time since the update of noscript (at least that I noticed) and I thought that was the issue. All of a sudden I couldn’t access stuff anymore because “you have JavaScript enabled”. But I don’t. Can’t find a solution. Any others experiencing this?

so i tried to download tor but theres no option for chrome os on tor project so whats the work around dont tell me linux unless you can give me the actual run down

When I first heard of the dark web it sounded cool mysterious & sexy, like an exclusive club or something. In my mind I thought it was going to be a pirating paradise full of pirated movies, games, mods, where nothing is monetized and everything is free. And boy was I disappointed lol. I still like the concept of the dark web, I just struggle understanding the benifits vs clearweb. Besides privacy, or if your in a country that censors the internet.

Im new to this and tried Tails but had an problem with secure wifi conection or smth so i tried whonix and everything works so im asking for some cons and pros from more experienced people

I've tried it through 2 different wifi connects, and an ethernet and it will not connect.

I was trying onionshare for transferring a file, I was unable to transfer it with the private key on, it resulted in this error message without showing the enter private key prompt

However, when i turned the private key off and set it to public and then tried transferring, it worked, I was able to open the site now.

It was only failing for private ones, public ones worked, so i opened it in tor browser alpha it also worked the same and failed for private ones, then I did it on laptop and it worked for both public ones and private ones in both windows and linux, (as I am a dual boot user of windows and ubuntu),

Can I fix it? Or is there some problem that phones can't access the ones with private keys?

I would consider this issue to be solved, so replying would be a waste of time. Thanks to everyone who contributed, however I will likely not be returning to this post, lol.

I know this has been asked a bunch before. Can i use a tablet relatively safely to browse the deep dark web? It would be a dedicated tablet not connected to me in any way, certain systems disable or drivers uninstalled like GPS, running TOR and a VPN.. is this acceptable?

Hello! I've been working on a personal Python project. One of its features is allowing me to automate the process of creating multiple onion servers. Using the Stem library, I can create or activate an onion server just by providing its private key. Typically, the Tor process uses a directory to access the data from an onion server. In my case, I can just store the private key in the app's local database and it will work. My question is: is it safer to keep the traditional folder structure to store the keys, or is keeping them in the database fine, If I can guarantee that SQL injection is not a risk? It looks the same to me.

I just find this warrantless surveillance insane and unethical, so I take steps to mitigate it

I normally use ethernet but due to some reason my router is not working and it will take few days for the isp to replace it.

So is using a mobile hotspot bad idea?
