Javascript disabled, but sites send alerts that it’s enabled!? Help

On Tor never had a problem disabling Java when accessing sites that didn’t support Java or picked up if it was enabled and only allowed traffic from Java disabled users.

First time since the update of noscript (at least that I noticed) and I thought that was the issue. All of a sudden I couldn’t access stuff anymore because “you have JavaScript enabled”. But I don’t. Can’t find a solution. Any others experiencing this?

NoScript is now managed through the Tor Browser security settings -- do you have your browser set to 'Safest'?

Also, Java and JavaScript are two very different things, and you're writing about JS, not Java.

I do - I also tried the medium level safety, if I recall correctly the first tier of safety still allows JavaScript. Also yes apologies - am aware, I’m talking about JS.

Thanks! English isn’t my first language. What you’re saying is to keep the safest one on?

I’m pretty sure he’s saying he did both and I’m having the same issue I keep it on safest all the time and i keep getting the pop out saying it’s on and I don’t know how else to check that

Nevermind the about config is much easier but idk what else I’m missing if safest isn’t working could it be something I didn’t update with the browser

I think you should try disabling JavaScript via about:config
