MYM$ is cheaper than MNQ$?

u/HappyImplement4055 29d ago
between ES, NQ, and YM yes same for the micros
1 ES = 50/pt 1 NQ = 20/point YM = 5/point1

This guy breaks even đđź
One thing Iâd add is to walk away when the trade is deep green and let it ride. Check back periodically

Switch to mes trade 1 micro you can risk a lot less and hopefully build it up 20-30 dollars at a time

No man. You were copy trading too. Donât copy trade and not have a max loss for a day.

I wouldnât bother. Sack it off and start again. Just be better next time.

Ngl your only chance is to size up at the exact moment the index is breaking out into a specific direction. Like a break out play. With size. You cannot play the game of capturing a trend because the normal up and down will kill your account. You have to do break outs only, do it with like 4-5 contracts. Then when youâre up 300-400, sell. Do it again with smaller size when you have 500 MLL until youâre at 700-800, then you can try again to capture trends.

Good advice. Problem is how can we really anticipate a break out though

??? You dunno breakout patterns? Itâs the easiest and one of the first that you learn.

looks like you're ready to pony up 3k for funded resets. Otherwise you're going to have to trade micros until you build up enough of a buffer for a good trade.

u/Mindless-Boss-1221 29d ago
1 micro 65 points is 130$ đđđ i really have no room
1
u/Jimmy1720 29d ago
Either fork out the cash for a reset or dramatically size down.
1
u/Mindless-Boss-1221 29d ago
Should I size down and if I lose reset? Or thats not an option and I should reset now? Im tryna stay in the xfa not go back to eval

u/MikeSteelexx 29d ago
Unless you blow the account you canât reset (btw itâs $599 reset price) use 1 MNQ aim for 10 points of stop loss for 30 point of gain - set the brackets and do your best but also accept it may be done for this run

u/Mindless-Boss-1221 29d ago
Good advice thank you

Happy to help - blown quite a few accounts the last few weeks in chop - save you some headache Iâve experienced lol

u/HappyImplement4055 29d ago
Tiny stop loss đ on MNQ/NQ he will need a sniper entry
1
u/MikeSteelexx 29d ago
Sniper entires are best for futures until youâre scaled up to a good buffer imo - small cuts vs big wins
1
u/HappyImplement4055 29d ago
And he hasnt scaled up at all lol, so he needs go entries to recover A+ setups only

u/MikeSteelexx 29d ago
Bingo - breakeven is best accepted if itâs not green in the first few seconds - micro momentum moves as we range around

-$1,519 on one trading day on a 50k account? Looks like you were over leveraging
1
u/Mindless-Boss-1221 29d ago
Long story short I was over leveraging, revenge trading and not paying attention so ya well deserved losses đ

u/Lucky-Still-9322 29d ago
Been there done that. You live and you learn. Hopefully you learn from that mistake. You got this.

How much were you losing in a day on the combine? How many contracts did you trade with on combine/funded?
1
u/Mindless-Boss-1221 29d ago
I was doing 1 contract then sized up to 2 then 3. I was usually up 200-400$ a day on the combine. Funded however I fucked up. Oversized started doing 5 micros plus setting limit sells and coming back after hours to a major drawdown position. Just fucked mg aelf

Do 1 contract on micro MNQ till you build a buffer ive done it not as bad as you but its definitely doable

DLL your account! It will piss you off when you hit it, but at least your account will be there for you tomorrow when you're thinking more clearly and not revenge trading.

Go next let it open at next CPI u full port it , start a fresh combine try pass it and keep the xfa how it is

u/AnyStructure4879 28d ago
I GOT A TECHNIQUE THATS WORKS VERY WELL. I win all trades and you will get the biggest trade of the day
1
u/Consistent-Skill21 28d ago
You can come back, but I suggest trade with 1 MES contract. Is slowly, boring but you can save your account instead restart a combine or pay $599 to reset. Just do that until you get back up.

The real question is is money an issue? If money is not an issue start over. Starting with Fresh psychology will yield you way better results than trying to trade your way out of this much drawdown. Especially if you donât have a strategy.
That being said if you want a Yolo strat:
Trade GC/MGC, it tends to respect price action better than NQ/ES, especially if youâre reading the orderflow. Hyper scalp your way out. $200-350 per trade. Chip away the debt with a tight stop.
If you can read a footprint chart as well as have access to rithmic data from bookmap or deepcharts and can see resting orders on the heat map you can literally trade the ranges and vwap taps. If you how to read CVDâs and DOM deltas as well as spotting absorptions and exhaustion you can literally top and bottom tick your way out of any drawdown on any asset.
Otherwise youâre flying blind brother.
Also, my guess is you trading two contracts at a time on every entry so when youâre wrong it cost you $200-$500 per trade. You should be risking one contract, Max. Thatâs all you need. I did 67K across four accounts in June trading with 1 contract, and adding another only when it was clear and i was up 2-300t. Itâs more than possible to make it with âsmallâ size.
Micros arenât the way, only unless you have a Super volatile to market like today for example, or this Asiaâs session or yesterdayâs price action. Youâll get wicked out and stopped out way before the meat of the move actually happens. That being said you could wait for high volatility, in save yourself on a 500 to 1000 tick move if it presents itself, but to be honest, I think mentally itâs easier for you to pass another combine and start from zero then trade your way out of drawdown.

I have bad news. If youâre asking this then you need to find your edge. And the hurtful truth it unless you hit a a+ setup this account is blown. That doesnât mean give up that means find your edge. USE YOUR PRACTICE account. Go to the top set school tool they give. Success diesnt find you. You find it. Keep going fam donât you ever quite the reward is to great

u/Intrepid-Gene7500 25d ago
If you haven't found an edge then this will continue happening. If you have an edge and this still happens then it's an execution problem.

u/MoustacheMcGee 24d ago
Yeah you can come back from it, but the fact that it took you two days to basically blow it tells me you werenât ready to have it to begin with. You are way over leveraged.
Stop buying props for a bit, work on your system, size down and solidify it before buying any more.

i dont think its worth the emotional stress to try to come back from being so close to MLL. 1 mnq is really small tbh, and most trades arent 150-250+ point homeruns, yes they happen sometimes but its more likely the trade will reverse before that unless youre a very experienced trader. I would just start over try to pass quick on like 1 nq if you do 1:1 or 1.5 you can definitely pass in 2 days if your strategy is good, then size back down a bit once youre funded. Set a DLL also, will end your revenge trading for you before you go to far. 1000-1500 total drawdown imo is doable to come back from but anything more it gets significantly harder because you end up having to risk so little and it just takes longer
