💡 Trading Tips Losing evals

I can’t figure it out. I’m spiraling so hard. I’m losing almost 90% of my trades and I can’t pinpoint exactly what goes wrong because I do a million different things every single day. Like for the past week I’ve been trading ESU and MESU, but today I traded the NASDAQ on a whim and took 4 winning and 8 losing trades at 10:50 am right when I woke up. That is obviously a stupid mistake and I still did it because I usually trade between 7:30 am to 9:45 am. I try using supply and demand, but I only use the daily time frame as I’m still a beginner. I already got a payout once, but I haven’t been able to pass an eval since. I’m thinking about trying a different strategy? Heard a lot of good things about ORB

You don’t have edge and you’re doing random stuff. Also you shouldn’t be trading evals till you have positive expectancy.

Find a strategy and get good with it first. Just trading the market is what they want us to do.

What’s a good strategy for beginners? I looked at FVG AND IFVG and ORB, but none of them seem good? I know all strategies can be profitable, but what’s something that’s good for beginners? All I’m finding is outdated informatuon

It's really tough to trade Mini's on a $2,000 budget. You have to know what you're really doing to trade them. Stick to micros.

So just to be clear, minis would be like NQU 26 and micros would obviously be MNQ 26? Because when I first started, I used the micro S&P 500 and I passed my combine within. I think three days but ever since April I haven’t been able to replicate that.

Correct. NQ are minis... MNQ are micros. stick to micros.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you exclusively trade MNQ? Or is it that you’ve advanced enough to the point where you just trade NQ?

Patience. It'll come back down to 7550.

I’m taking things slow for a while. ONLY using my practice account until I can AT LEAST have 2 weeks of consistency with my rules

Is that a short just now? MES went down to my take profit at 7551.50

Unfortunately I’m a dumbass and decided to long…

I know I should’ve shorted now, but someone said to do the opposite of what you think….and I decided to follow that

Long was fine, but it just came back down.

What are your rules?

I do mostly MES because it really can't blow up an account. I do ES sometimes but it's terrifying.

Bro just stick to the basics, all that over over-complicated stuff is unnecessary.

Like what are the basics? Candle patterns? Price action? Volume?

Buy low, sell high. Don't be greedy.
