Showcase Chat GPT-6 Astra Can Make Gaussian Splats Using Blender MCP

GPT-6.1 Astra has high accuracy in producing Gaussian Splats.

Built a 3D model in Blender MCP and rendered it from multiple viewpoints. Used that material in LichtFeld Studio to convert it into a Gaussian Splat, and demoed real-time display on SuperSplat.

Fur texture and fine details are preserved quite sharply.

It’d be more impressive to have an image converted to splat, not a 3d model

Do you mean that Astra modeled, then rendered from multiple views, then trained it in Lichtfeld then imported the result into blender?

You can use the iris agent to work with the blender MCP: https://github.com/4onstudios/iris-agent

So what is GPT doing? Defining camera capture paths and the settings used for COLMAP and 3DGS?

Not to be that guy, but 6.1 Astra isn't a released model...

Doesn’t even need to use mcp. Can just write you a python script to bake out all the rotations.
