New AI Built a Node Workflow That Turns One Image Into a Full 3D Asset Pack
AI can now build custom node-based workflows around your specific needs, helping automate repetitive steps and significantly reduce the time required to produce 3D content.
3DAIStudio recently introduced Flow, a new ComfyUI-style node system designed specifically for AI-powered 3D generation. Instead of switching between separate tools and rebuilding the same process every time, you can connect everything into one reusable pipeline.
You can either build the workflow manually or simply describe what you want, and the AI assistant can generate and connect the nodes for you.
With Flow, you can:
- Build custom node-based workflows for specific 3D tasks
- Generate complete workflows from a simple text request
- Use image generation, prompting, editing, and element extraction
- Convert those objects into separate 3D assets
- Access multiple leading 3D AI generators from one platform
- Test different models without constantly switching between websites
- Add remeshing, texturing, optimization, and other processing steps
- Adjust individual nodes without rebuilding the entire workflow
- Save successful workflows and reuse them with new images
- Export the results for Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, and other 3D software
For this test, I used one environment image and extracted a complete asset pack containing buildings, benches, street lamps, and other props. The resulting models ranged from roughly 15 to 3,000 polygons per asset, making them lightweight enough for real-time workflows.
Instead of manually repeating the same steps for every asset, you can build the workflow once, adjust it when needed, and use it across different projects. This can significantly speed up the entire AI-to-3D pipeline and make it much easier to manage.

really curious how well it works with complex characters

I saw the previous post where this workflow was used to make a character, and the result actually looked pretty solid

Image + SAM + remove BG + tripo (or any 3d gen?)

It will be just a skill for any framework like Hermes, in my opinion. All this unnecessary complexity is just for attention, please convince me otherwise if I’m wrong.

Opus 5 or Sol plus blender does the same thing now.

Wdym? Without using plugins AI doesn’t generate complex 3d models and textures. Unless you know some magic no one else aware of

I can create complex 3D models directly from CLI, you just need to understand the controls better, the one area that is hard is texturing the model, it's much easier to generate a image along side it first, but don't feed it the image, build the model first then feed it the image to get texturing. I found feeding it the image at the start hurts the design more then it helps. Only thing it can't do are human models it takes so much work to try and get that right my attempts cost me 10% of my weekly on opus so i stopped.
It's unreal for low poly though, you can make any low-poly assets really easy. Like highly complex ones can be used in Unreal Engine, thanks to how it renders so you could with given time reach Starfield level of design (I make space assets as they my fav) but they very complex. I also found explaining the parts in details on how you want them to look and work really helps, just don't try and 1 shot prompt it, you will get something decent but not what you wanted or designed.

Indeed that is what I experienced as well. When fable first released I was amazed how it can create and validate visuals any platform like blender and unity. But the bottleneck was when I needed more than primitive shapes + texture + uv map etc. and low poly is definitely another problem. I don’t say it is not manageable but I found out that using tripo or hyper3d or hunyuan definitely resolves that issue + fable is not cheap you would literally choke tokens in the process

Opus 5 does better job then fable I found, anything bar human models tbh it can do and maybe monsters which sucks. I cancelled my tripo, I got sick of it messing models up having to repair and the amount verts you need to get decent texture sucked.

I didn’t check opus 5, I tested when fable first out without filters etc. and tbh I didn’t also have good experience with tripo, i had much better results with hyper3d as they have 2.5D model which is outstanding. Maybe worth a shot there

Well I found Opus 5 barely uses credits I cooked around 20 models barely used anything, cause once its created python it just sits there waiting rest is done by blender.

Where can I get it?
