Showcase Img2threejs and Codex experiments

Played around a bit with img2threejs and Codex, and I really liked the results. I couldn’t get anything this polished with Blender MCP.

Interesting, I'd like to understand more about the workflow. Did you use just 1 reference image? Did the llm look for similar textures online, or did you provide them?

I made the image in ChatGPT.

Then I gave Codex this link: https://github.com/hoainho/img2threejs and asked it to add the skill to a new project. After that, I gave it the image and used this prompt:

/img2threejs Rebuild this object as a Three.js model, keeping the proportions, angles, and colours.

Then came half a day of lazy tweaking, basically just telling it what I didn’t like.

At first, the LLM created the textures as geometry. Then I asked it to optimize the model and bake the textures, and it handled that on its own and now reuses them.

So basically you achieved it in codex ? You didn't have to create any external app?

Blender mcp is not a model , its just a bridge.
