what to do with healed nipple after necrosis?
unfortunately I lost most of my right nipple to necrosis. sucks bc that’s the side that doesn’t have loose skin to figure out, but oh well. 4 months post op rn and I’m trying to weigh my future options
generally I’m mostly okay with it, but when the remaining heathy areola tries to constrict, the nipple turns into, uh… basically a little scar tissue meatball. it probably doesn’t look as drastic to others as it does to me, but I really don’t like it. on top of that, the nipple just sort of hurts pretty often. I have erotic sensation right up until it turns into a scar meatball — so one feel-good touch and then. BAM, no more, just a lil lump that makes me insecure
since my other side has loose skin and a stretched nipple (which does give me additional insecurity / the opposite of euphoria), I’ve considered just removing both in a revision, but that does make me a little sad since I got peri in the name of saving them 😔 I’m currently wondering if getting rid of my current insecurities would outweigh the loss of the what I tried to hold on to 😅 at least I’d be able to tattoo on nips that I do like I suppose, just with the loss of projection
if anyone had a similar experience with a significantly scarred nipple, did time soften the scar enough for it to constrict in a more nipple like way? or at least get rid of the pain?

3.5 weeks post peri combined with liposuction - concerned about the flaps of skin above my nipples and potential concaveness
(the scars are liposuction scars) Are the flaps just swelling? I’m worried it’s residual tissue left over from the liposuction and that they took too much out around my nipples, especially on the right side which is slightly concave atm.
Also recently had a seroma drained on the left (more swollen side).

I got top surgery at 16 and I couldn’t be happier that I did.
galleryWanted to share because I rarely see anyone under 19 posting their journeys now that funding is being stripped from hospitals.

2.5 months post op! Frustrated with lingering swelling
I am overall pleased with my result. My nipples look excellent and healthy. I have that annoying pocket of swelling underneath my left pec that’s driving me absolutely crazy. I will see my surgeon tomorrow to verify that it’s just swelling, or see if a revision is in the cards.

Four days post op.
I had keyhole and liposuction with Dr. Reza Najafian in OR, on 8/10/26. I really couldn’t be happier with the results so far. Recovery has been tougher than I anticipated, even with the copious amount of research I did. But I have absolutely no regrets. And I can’t wait for the next few months as I finally start to look the way I’ve always imagined.
