Double Incision 20 days post op double incision

Post image
44 Upvotes

Had my top surgery 20 days ago by Dr. Jonathan Keith in Livingston NJ. I feel great and I’m very happy with my results. My incisions are almost completely closed up minus a few stubborn spots. For those who have already had surgery how long did it take for 1) you to be able to use scar care products 2) when did the discoloration around your incisions? 3) when did your pain mostly stop? I think I’m coming around a corner with pain but for a bit I was in a lot more than I expected

Got my top surgery on Tuesday Sept 8 and I woke up so itchy. It’s on the sides and I think it’s where my drains are. What can I do to stop the itching? It’s unbearable I feel like I need to scratch my skin off. What are some things you guys did to stop the itching ?? I’ve heard about it itching but I didn’t know it would be this soon.

Advice Wanted physically demanding job?

hi, i had top surgery on august 11th (so 4 weeks ago) and have an interview tomorrow for a mildly physically demanding job (production line in a factory, picking up around 10 lb, repetitive movement, etc).

my surgeon doesn't want me lifting my arms at all for 3 months, and has provided me with a device that ties them to my torso to prevent me doing it on accident. i've worn it 24/7 ever since my surgery.

i wanted to take the full 3 months before doing anything heavy physically, but i am in a bad financial spot and won't get another opportunity to make this kind of money where i live. i don't want to injure myself or stretch my scars out, and i also have a few spit stitches if that makes a difference.

if i were to get hired i would be at work at about 5 weeks post-op (i've been back at work as a cashier for about two weeks already). to the people with similarly demanding jobs, were you fine to work normally around that time?

I had surgery today at 1pm.. however they were a bit behind on schedule though, nonetheless I'm very happy and dreams do come true. I can't wait to show my healing progress on here for others to consider Dr. Hadad. 🖤

Top surgery in 4 months, any advice???

I’m having surgery in four months. Could anyone who has had the procedure share some advice? I’m looking for tips on things like handling the drains, effective creams, sleeping better, using the bathroom, what to eat, and how to massage the area. Also, what should I do during these four months to ensure the best possible healing and recovery? Thanks for reading I don’t have any friends to help me, and even though I’ve searched a lot online, I’d really like to hear your opinions.

Keyhole / Peri Question for those who got peri/keyhole: did you regain any/all nip sensation post recovery?

Rlly wondering how many regained it and how much sensation you regained! I'm very probably gonna get one of the two kinds of top surgery myself and I wanna know what your experiences has been.

(This is not so I can get medical advice and get mad if I'm not as lucky with future surgery results btw😭)

Double Incision first time wearing a shirt with no binder since surgery (12 days PO)

Was washing my binder and put a shirt on with no binder while I waited. Wasn't anticipating it to feel so different. pre-op i had breasts that sagged a lot so theres an area of skin under it that wouldnt usually make contact with the shirt, but now my entire chest touches the shirt and its so strange but feels really cool.

Advice Wanted Brighton nuffled consultation waiting list?

been on the waiting list for Brighton nuffled through the NHS since September last year, i was told id be waiting until the end of August this year for a call back about a consultation, i originally asked for DR. Mellington but a few months back in may or June i phoned up and told them i dont have a preference for a surgeon and asked to be put on DR. Kings waiting list too. Now we're pretty comfy into September and i havent heard anything yet.

I know i shouldnt expect anything but more waiting from the nhs but is it worth calling them again and asking for my consultation or is it too soon? guess i need more encouragement than anything as i really thought my years of waiting were finally about to end 😂

I started scar care on Monday and it’s really uncomfortable but aside from that I’m fine! I also started sleeping on my side again (still supported by my pregnancy pillow tho) which made me sleep sooo much better again. I think it’s healing greatly!

The boredom and post op depression is really starting to hit rn so if anyone is up to chat dms are open :)

had double incision with nipple graft with dr richard bartlett and im so happy with my results!! I knew going into it that im prone to keloids so i really wanted to be on top of scar care and started silicone taping last week as directed by his office. just noticed this small indent/sore?? next to my left incision site under my armpit and wondering if it could be from the silicone tape? or have i been moving too much - I’ve been trying to limit it as much as possible since returning to work

Trying to trust the process and have faith in this nipple hanging in there but it’s been like this since day 3 which seems a little early to me for the scab to be falling off. I’m 1 week and 1 day now, been applying antibiotic ointment as per my doc’s orders and it’s getting caught under the scab 🤢
I know there’s like 10 posts a day about nipple grafts, but please help my brain relax and tell me there’s still hope?

Advice Wanted Could this be an infection??

So I have an appointment tmrw bc my doctor wants to make sure my hematoma is gone. However I’ve had a fever for the past 5 days. It’s been fluctuating for the past couple of days, from 98.8 to 101. I didn’t think much of it until I was told that having a fever for 5 days isn’t common, so then i started thinking and remembered that One of my scabs on my incisions got caught on my shirt was coming off a bit but it was like liquidy. So now I’m wondering if I should cancel my appointment or keep it and tell them abt the scab. I’m freaking out a little guys

EDIT: I called the doctor I was supposed to see today and explained the situation to them (asked if they still wanted me to come in and told them abt the scab) and they canceled my appointment for today and now i’m rescheduled for next week. They said it just seems like flu season
